Really, Josh?

Time to suck it up and activate Dobson. While you're at it, try calling a decent game for a change. Andy Reid's offense made yours look downright pathetic.

The egos on our coaching staff might actually be finally becoming a real problem.

So this just happens to leak out now. Interesting.

The timing does seem interesting. They don't leak it while he's out so everyone assumes it is injury-related and there isn't any negative press; now that they (presumably) are game planning to activate him again this week, it gets leaked as the final twist of the knife against Dobson, hurting his image and making him look bad. This way, he's potentially more motivated to play well to show he "got past his problems", because if he goes out and plays like s***, he'll get written off as a bust real quick.

What do you have to do to get benched TWO games? Well at least one player hates their coach. Probably why Brady looks so defeated on the field. If Dobson leaked this, is benching in store?

This is also probably one more thing that has added to Bradys frustration.

Tom: Josh where's my vertical guy
Josh: Oh we had to sit him. We had an awkward moment the other day
Tom:...:mad::mad::mad:

Depending on what was said, this isn't making Dobson look bad. It's making others look egotistical, in particular one coach which would fit the bill with prior assessments of his personality.

I'd like to know what was said that would lead a largely talented player in a position of need to be deactivated as a healthy scratch for 2 games. Still, Dobson being deactivated doesn't give cause to Thompkins' deactivation.

Yeah, I'm thinking along the lines of if it was bad, and the Pats had leaked it intentionally. If it was leaked elsewhere, then the coaches do look bad most likely, depending on what happened, as you said.

I'm also left wanting to know what the heck the deal is with Thompkins here.

The source could be anyone. Given the performance of the team through 4 weeks, leaving Dobson on the sideline for "mouthing off", if the report is proven to be correct, reflects poorly on the Patriots, especially Josh McDaniels and Bill Belichick.

This season we've seen Logan Mankins' a locker-room leader traded, Tommy Kelly, a player in a position of dire need released and now Aaron Dobson disciplined for what appears to be dissent. Further to the point, on O, the Patriots have not been using the guy they brought in as a part of the Mankins trade. I'll wager the players are probably see something similar to what the fans are seeing with the performance of the coaches.

In isolation, I can handle the Dobson deactivation if the Patriots had an outside WR to replace him. LaFell doesn't strike me as your typical XWR and we know Thompkins can play that role. Baffling, it truly is.

Well no one knows what exactly happened but still most seem to be siding with the player and calling out the coach who has led this team for 15 yrs names because he didnt do what everyone else thinks is in the best interest of the team. Amazing.

Some actually believe this staff wants the team to be bad

I think it's important to keep in mind that even though he allegedly mouthed off to McDaniels, I don't think it was McDaniels who made him inactive. One would think Belichick has final say in those matters, not McDaniels. I trust Bill.

I guess I'm still used to the idea that the Patriots are invincible and nothing leaks unless they want it to. Clearly those days have passed, though...

What a mess the whole receiver situation is. I have this feeling Tyms will come in and be a significant contributor. I know its really unlikely, but I just have a feeling about it for whatever reason.

The "In Bill We Trust" ship sailed to Tampa.

Truthfully, I would like to see something rather simple: play simple football and trust the players.

You make a good point but it's a bad look when your 2-2. Brady only has two targets right now as well. As much as I love Edeltron, he and the ghost of Rob Gronkowski won't be enough. They need an outside receiver to step up and Dobson is a great candidate in my opinion.

If Bill's #2 man tells him he wants Dobson benched, BB is going to bench him.

So between Dobson and Bill you are picking Dobson ? BB trade Moss in the middle of the season. You think he is going care for dobson ? How do you know what was said and happened ?
BB deserves a lot of blame for the drafting and not having the right players but I will still ride with him as our Coach. As long as he is the Coach those are his decisions.
Why hasn't any started a poll if they want BB as the coach or not ?
