The Dallas Cowboys Are The Most Expensive NFL Team To Go See In Person | Business Insider

For most of this century they've been the best team. Ergo, a bargain.
Yup...one more super bowl title than the nyg, Baltimore, and Pittsburgh since 2000...with arguably the best qb/coach combo in history. ..all those afc east titles drive up the cost of tickets

Ugghhh I really need to get to Gillette... and soon.

The jets at 132? People pay that much to watch a pile of **** get dumped on the field for 3 hours?

mostly why ive never been.

$10 to see the sox in fenway or 160 to see the pats? id rather watch the pats then try and watch the game live.

I'd like to see that adjusted for median income in each area. Teams like the Patriots and Niners would drop, while the Packers and Steelers would edge closer to the top. At the same time what seems to be a bargain for Jags, Bucs, Titans and Lions tickets would move closer to the middle.

Household Income: 2012

Scroll down to Table 2 on page 7 for comparative median income information.

Redskins sure are high for never winning...but so is Dallas so...

Do these figures account for the cost of seat licenses?

The cheapest Upper Bleacher ticket is $20. Last time I checked, the Boston baseball team was in last place.

Patriots are a FAR better value.

The bleachers have a 5 tiered pricing system from 40 bucks down to 20. I get 8 packs every season for 28 bucks, usually in sec 34 or 35. Can't see the CF'er if he tracks a ball to the warning track, otherwise not bad seats at all. Gave up my Pats season's tickets when they built the Razor and offered me seats in 310...sorry, I went from being right on top of the action in 206 to Seagulls-R-Us so...thanx but no thanks. Basically, they are two entirely different experiences. I pay to see the Pats play premium matchups but I'm glad I didn't go to the Raiders game last week. The way they have the huge screens at either end, I end up watching most of the game on camera anyway...may as well man cave the ordinary games.

Not so fast, Shmessy.
I have a (small) share of season tickets for both the Red Sox and patriots. Both are pretty good seats. The Sox tickets are $45 each. The patriots tickets are 170 esch except for when they go up to 212 for the Denver game and the Jets game.
The sox suck this year, but they've had some recent success.last year I was at the game clinching World Series win (game six at Fenway). The ticket was $200. That is less than what I am paying to see Denver in a few weeks.

I'm most surprised to see Dallas that high. I expected to see Boston, SF, Washington, and NYC leading the way on cost.

The Red Sox play 82 games at Fenway each year. The Patriots play 10. Using your example ($45 each vs. $170 each), the difference in season tickets is $1990. The Patriots are a bargain! Ha ha ha. :)

I would rather see the Bruins than the Sox, but I am pretty sure I am in the minority on that one...

IIRC, for most of the past decade the Pats have been the most expensive ticket in the league, so I guess being third now is an improvement. ;)

BTW- Brandon's question is a legitimate one. I too would like to know if PSL's are figured into the equation. Since there are a lot of teams that require one, I bet the Pats would end up in the middle of the pack if they were part of the cost equation

It is ironic that fans for the two higher teams (49'rs n Cowboys) paid big $$$$$ in PSL's and then paid big $$$$ for their tix.
I haven't heard, is the next new stadium..in Minnesota going the PSL route?

See the Jets are a perfect example of why these charts are useless.

First, they sell PSLs which are rarely calculated in these polls because it is so hard to do because if you spend $20k to purchase a PSL (the cost of PSLs for the 100 section between the 30s), how much of that do you allocate to a single game?

Second, the Jets practically give away their extreme nosebleed seats. If you are willing to sit in the clouds and watch the game through binoculars, I think tickets only cost $40. That brings down the average price.

That's fine for you elite 1% ers :)
