Just because a job puts food on the table doesn't mean that it's respectable or above reproach.
I really do not see anything offensive or disrespectful in the questions that Adam Jones asked Danny Amendola, it is not as if he was asking him why his wife is such a slut. You would think he did the way people talk about it, Adam used some bad choices in words and Danny completely overacted, but it was not that bad.

I haven't posted in this thread today. Did I miss anything? Nope?

Ok, carry on.

I think you just missed vitamin B6 saying Amendola isn't capable of making 85 catches.

hey, it must be nearing Christmas....I found all these fruitcakes, six of 'em right here in this thread...

One might conclude that Adam Jones has achieved his goal; 12 pages of responses on his obnoxiousness on Pats Fans.com... the ultimate achievement and something that Felger and Borges strive for.

He has made 85 catches in a season before so I am not sure when I said that? I said I did not think he would reach the production level Welker had which was 118 catches and 1354 yards in his last season here. Please do not put words in my mouth to make yourself sound believable.

I do not understand why we cannot not accept that Danny Amendola is a 60-70 receptions, 600-700 yards, 3-4 touchdown receiver that was overpaid in free agency but still offers production to this team.

@RayClay That is what he is, that doesn't translate into me saying he was not capable of 85 receptions. Your arguments are so half ass sometimes. The 85 receptions he had in 2010 resulted in 689 yards for an 8.1 average, the lowest by any WR with 50+ receptions in a season in the history of the NFL. You really want to lean on that to add creditability to your argument?

I'm not making an argument. You're arguing with yourself.

Amendola's 54 catches projected to 72 had he played all 16 games. Since that's what you think he is good for, you are actually saying he produced as well with a torn groin as he is capable of, which contradicts what you said before.

Anyone know the definition of insanity?

A projection of 16 games does not mean it is going to happen, if you remove the Bills, Steelers, and Dolphins game you lose 50% of his production so there is no way of knowing what he would have done with 4 more games.

Posters who aren't even involved in this discussion but come in to make comments about the thread? Nobody is holding a gun to your head forcing you to click on this thread, if you or anyone else does not like the thread do not come in it.

Ray and I are having a discussion that we both obviously want to have, I am not exactly sure what burden that puts on you or anyone else.

I never understood the concept of removing certain games from a players performance history to somehow make a point. Just like you could remove DAs 3 worst games to spin it the other way.

It is like saying If we take out Tom Brady's Superbowl years he really hasn't won a Superbowl.

It seems ridiculous.

It's not removing it but when you want to project additional games you have to consider how his production was accumulated.

Well, assume he could walk in those four games. In the twelve games he could walk, he made 54 catches. Why wouldn't the projection be valid?

100% spot on. It's the most ridiculous, illegitimate practice employed anywhere by anyone with statistical data.

Why was this thread even stated? Dosent seem very thread worthy to me. Maybe we can start a thread every time Tom Brady swears at the top of his lungs at training camp or practice when all the little kids can hear it.

Bad Tom!!! Bad!
