>Steelers are going nowhere, their cap situation is a mess.
>Same goes for the Saints.
>I am surprised Raiders/Jets/Packers have so much money available and they aren't going crazy in the free agency period like Denver and us.

In some cases the large amount of cap space remaining can be deceiving.

Raiders - still need starters at CB, S, DT, ILB, a nickel CB, LG, and also need to upgrade their depth just about everywhere. They also need a genuine #1 WR, but do they draft Watkins or a QB with their first round pick?

Browns - similarly, even if they draft a QB in the first round they still need a #2 WR, LG, RG, RB1, RB2, slot WR, TE2, ILB, S, CB... and better depth across the board.

Bengals - Apparently they are going with Margus Hunt to replace Michael Johnson, but they still need a 3rd DE to add to the rotation. They need either a LG or LT depending on where Andrew Whitworth plays, and they need to get younger at CB very soon. Most of this cap space should be used with an eye on 201r though, when several key players (AJ Green, Rey Maualuga, Domata Peko, Jermaine Gresham, Andy Dalton) are all due to become free agents.

Jaguars - almost every position on the roster is in need of being upgraded.

Jets - still a lot of holes to fill (WR2, WR3, RB) and upgrades needed (RG, LG) not only on offense, but now on defense as well (ILB, S, CB).

Dolphins - still need a RT and RG; upgrades needed at OLB and RB

Packers - C, FS, SS, ILB and FB are all positions that still need attention. Green Bay's GM Ted Thompson is not much of a believer in free agency, so it's not that big a surprise that they haven't spent more.

For teams with less to spend, creating quality depth becomes more difficult. Every NFL team has starters go on IR or miss multiple games, so finding that dependable role player becomes critical.

Pats are at $5.85m without Edelman

Wilfork's restructure or cutting frees up additional space. Can't see him being a Patriot at his current cap number. ( Capt. Obvious) ;)

Jets - still a lot of holes to fill (WR2, WR3, RB) and upgrades needed (RG, LG) not only on offense, but now on defense as well (ILB, S, CB).

You forgot to mention QB ;)
