Would it be alright for me to use the 'report post' button to request a merge? I know it says "for harassment, spam, and fighting only," but I'm sick of getting flamed for posting a merge link in a thread.

In the (too many) hours I've been on the board in the past few days, there's been AT LEAST 15 or 20 different duplicate threads which grew just to large, as T-Shirt notes, to merge the conversation, even after I posted a merge link.

Also, would it be possible for Ian to remove NEM's name from the members list? I think BBFan deserves her rightful spot as the #1 poster (in terms of post count) on the board. NEM was off that list right after he was banned, but has since found his way back on. Since he won't be coming back any time soon, would it be possible for his name to again be taken off?

Finally, I know Ian wanted to restore the September 2004-to-December 2005 archives that were lost in the old server change. Is there any update on that? There's a few posts I wanted to check out from that era. And, I also wanted to know if the search table had been fixed so it includes some period of time (I've forgotten) that was lost in the more recent server change.

Finally (again), are the Zoints profiles down for good?

Sure, Pats1. You can hit "report post" for any reason you want to request a change to anything on the board. Others have for merge requests and we find it very helpful to quickly make us aware of it. I guess I never really read the definition that is there, but sure.

Honestly I feel your pain about the threads but they all were about different aspects of one topic and therefore the page/post counts were much more manageable than if they'd been merged. I don't know about you but if I see a thread with hundreds of posts already, I tend to read the 1st post then go right to the last page:cool3: and by then who knows what's there lol.
In this case I thought the thread titles just reflected the fact that people were thinking it through and coming up with quality subtopics and one that was humorous.
It's been a crazy weekend with a lot of discussion. At times like these the threads would be popping up regardless of how fast or how often anyone merged them. We could all try and be more mindful before we start threads,though. Think before we make one about a topic that already exists. Make sure the thread is more specific like the Stallworth's were,etc.

Thanks for the response. I just used the Stallworth threads as example because that was the name that was being used most at the time i posted the thread. The Stallworth threads were bad, but seen worse. The Stallworth threads is what finally made me say something. The thing is, that when i read posts that were about the same topic, most of the responses were"oh no not another post about this" type stuff. So i saw that many of us, including myself were getting sick of seeing the same threads over and over. Now that i come out and say something people are trying to make it into a big deal, and make me look like a bad guy. I been here since last August and never had a problem with anyone. I never started fights with anyone, and i never fed into any of the negative posts that were being written in here. Yes there are times where i do respond to people that rub me wrong, but its one reply and thats it, i dont make it into a drawn out fight, like trolls like NEM, and yanks/colts. Im not the type of guy either that is going to let someone say things about me that arent true without a reply of defending myself. I just want to do what is in the best interest of the site. Ive learned more about the Pats this past season than i ever learned, and looking forward to next season. I dont think its a bad idea to have this site moderated better, and have ourselves monitor the board better. i might have come out and blamed the moderators, but we all are responsible just as much as them. Its obvious that people post before looking through the page, but that is when we do need the board to be monitored. Like the old saying there are azzholes everywhere you go and theres nothing you can do abut it. Thanks for the positive feed back, and thats why i always read your posts.

Wanna talk about smacking people your probably the one that needs one, because you are defenitley one of the biggest azzholes on this site. Mods are doing a fine job. I don't want to have one thread for each player. Combine like topics on the same player if needed, but this is a hot time for discussion and there will be a lot of ways to hit each topic. I don't want one 800-post topic on any player.

Once a topic hits about 50 to 100 posts, it is off topic, anyway, and time to start a new thread on the same topic.

Chill and enjoy the site that was made for you to use, or if you don't like the way the owner runs this one, go out and make a site of your own. Let us know the URL.
