Maturation of Julian Edelman

Edelman has proven to be the ultimate Patriot, playing every position and being a great team guy.

The last 4 games we have seen Edelman evolve into a great WR. His route running has improved immensely (his YAC has been great), his ability to take a hit in tight coverage (which is why we loved WW) and great hands.

He will be the key to us winning a SB this year. If Amendola can provide us 5 - 7 catches for 50-70 yards we will be in good shape

Jules needs to get paid period. Pay the man. Cut Arrington and just give that contract to Jules. What difference will it make in defense? Jules can play CB as well.

No question about it. Until this year he was a WR project,now he is a WR-period, and a good one. You have to bust your @ss to turn yourself into a player like that in the NFL so props to him on working his @ss off to get where he is now.

He's an all around football player. That swiss army knife-type. You need guys like that on your team that can do it all.

He's really starting to come into his own, not just as a pass catcher, but his blocking looks like it's getting better by the week. That was one area I thought he really needed to work on, in addition to his consistency catching the football. Edelman should be on every Patriots' fan Christmas card list.

70 receptions, 711 receiving yards, 10.15 average, 4 touchdowns… Edelman has been playing like a stud all season, he had a 2-3 game stretch when Amendola first returned where he was a little down but now he is once again playing at a high caliber.

I love # 11, so gritty, so tough, makes the biggest plays when needed and gets every ounce of yardage possible with the ball in his hands. What a great, great athlete that kid is. He should just change his number to 83 next season.

Your 30 million dollar man was pretty good today also. He caught 5/5 targets for 54 receiving yards. If we can get Dobson healthy and keep THE GRONK healthy we should have a chance to make a super bowl run come Jan/Feb.

As of the last reception today, Edelman's earned all of his possible bonuses for the year: the last catch put him at the 70-reception plateau, which earns him $250,000, plus the $50,000 in workout/roster bonus. :rocker:

Based on what? He's caught every single catchable Brady deep ball he's been thrown this year.

Brady's deep ball is the problem. He's never been a great deep passer, and that's been exposed with Randy Moss no longer here to bail him out with his unparalleled ball adjustment ability.
