I wonder if there was an injury settlement...

I wonder if this was a stipulation as part of his signing, that they could release him rather than put him on IR if he were injured.

Best of luck to him in the future. He will probably be back though.

SHOCKING, Collie got hurt again.

Thanks for the clutch grabs against N.O.

I know, I heard something about his knee. Hopefully he will be back.

I agree, however if it serious knee may be the end of the line for him...

But with catch & release they could be just freeing up a spot on the 53, let the knee heal and have a handshake agreement to re-sign him late Dec or Jan if the Pats IR body count continues unabated.

Remember that he does have to go through waivers. Of course, the injury makes it likely he will clear.

I have a feeling he'll be back at some point this season when he's healthy.

I liked Collie came through for us on that last minute drive Brady to Thompkins TD vs Saints. AC Seemed to pick up offense had good chemistry with TB. Wish him a speedy recovery with his injury.

That also depends on the health and development of the other receivers.

Me too. You can never have enough injury-prone white receivers on your roster.

 No! i was hoping he would replace the always injured Amendola, i really wanted to see him make a comeback..oh well.Best of luck in the remainder of his career, if there is a remainder.
