not like Graham(Dan is top 2 )
but Brady is an above average blocker and hes bigger than Graham
he wont be as dominant blocker as Graham was he'll do very good
Brady is an excellent blocker, Graham was good but missed some too - this best ever stuff is getting a little carried away.
I don't think we'll lose much blocking going from Graham to Brady but we'll be a little more predictable as Graham was more of the legit double threat while Brady is more of a pure blocker and Thomas more of a pure receiver (as a TE). Although Thomas showed some solid position blocking in his few opportunities.
I basically agree with you - and as Thomas CAN block and Brady CAN catch, it's not all or nothing by any means. But still a touch more predictable.Well, I think two things when I see this, (and I think you aren't the first to mention this idea of predictability). Deception starts with the defense coming to a conclusion on what you are doing. We can use the idea that "K. Brady is only in to block" as an advantage. But more importantly, and this might seem contradictory to my last point, but I don't see anything wrong with Brady being brought in mainly to block. I guess I think deception is overrated, and if he's a great blocker, and he can do that well, then whether the D knows he's in to block or not is irrelevant.

Great blocker, but not on Graham's level. Graham is the best in the league, and may be one of the best ever (if not THE best).
Graham was injured an awful lot also. I wonder how Brady was with injuries
Before we conclude that Graham is a better blocker than brady but not much better, we should consider the shoulder injuries that held Dan out of some games the last 2 years.
Can DG be the same blocker he was before these injuries? If not, than maybe at this point KB is actually better.

If Graham was such a great blocker, how come the Pats weren't able to run the ball in the second half of the season or the playoffs.
As for receiving potential, I think Graham had 21 catches last season. Hardly Tony Gonzales production.
We got five years of production with Graham. I wouldn't say that we are losing a superstar.
