Welker:Toward the end in NE, BB got on him in a way he never had before

funny-gif-Steve-Carell-laughing.gif

That's actually pretty funny.

They never would have gotten to those SB's without Welker playing the way he did. He's one of the best players to ever play for this team and yet the douchebags in this forum take shot after shot at him. I am sure it will be the same for Wilfork and Brady because the truth of the matter is that there is a large contingent of Patriot fans who simply have no appreciation for great players and only look at the shiny new object.

Kenbrell Thompkins > Troy Brown............

MoLewisrocks.....

Is that you?

2009- ACL
2010- Feet
2011- Dropped pass
2012- "Stick it to Bill", wife runs mouth (Ray Lewis) after AFCCG.
2013- Per Yardbarker....Wes has disdain for the Patriots organization.

Hardly the martyr in the grand scheme of things.

Yep, he owes Patriot fans a big apology for leading the league in 1st downs, YAC, and catching more passes during his 6 years here than any receiver in NFL history over 6 years.

And dropping at least one super bowl ring...maybe more.

Is that sort of like the big apology BB owes Welker for trading and signing for him; an undrafted 5’9 185 pound wide receiver that never had over 700 yards in any season before, and then building an offense and a scheme that utilizes his talents unlike any other offense in the NFL could?

Insert words into people’s mouths much? Who the heck said anything about Welker owing us an apology? The statement was Belichick got on him in a way unlike before; well my statement suggests that it could have been reasonable criticism seeing that Welker was dropping passes unlike before. Where in the world you pulled a request for an apology out of that is beyond me, I’m assuming you were just trolling looking for something to banter about and your moose froze up around my post so you just went with it..

:trolls:

I know that my old lady likes it when my head swells...:D

I know she LOVES it when my... oh never mind ;)

At least he can play football, unlike a certain 3rd string QB the Patriots temporarily have on their roster who is only good for practice reps.

Actually, my apologies, i shouldn't have expected you to understand that as you were a Florida, bronco's, and Jets fan during those years and never really saw Welker play here.

Saying that Welker dropped way too many passes last year (I think he was near the top in the NFL in that category) doesn't change all good he did for the team. His drops last year was an issue at least at times, but he was still Brady's most consistent and dependable target out there. Both what you are saying is true about the positive impact in his game, but the other poster may have pointed out why Belichick was frustrated with him last year.

Personally, I still wonder if Belichick really had no intention of re-signing Welker because he was concerned the drops were going to be an issue going forward or he saw it as a sign as age starting to catch up with him.

Hell, he could just have been still p-ssed off that he felt Welker cost him a Super Bowl or that he played hard ball in negotiations. Unfortunately, we will never know.

Weklah can cry a river and forehead can throw his teammates under the bus...a match made in heaven.

It's about time we had a gimmick poster around here that was worth a damn. I can already tell I'm going to really enjoy your replies.

Who'd expect otherwise?
I am really thankful for Wes' career here.
I wonder if John Fox likes foot joke humor?

I remember Andy's Johnson a few years ago. He was pretty funny.

Yeah. He was the top PatsFans.com gimmick poster of all time to this point. Maybe GIF Man can give him a run for his money.

That guy is a dead ringer for Phil Lynott.

John Fox is a grandstanding, front-running back-slapping glad-hander. The epitome of a disingenuous used-car salesman.

Or maybe Bill realized that if Welker had stayed with the Fins, he very well probably would have been a JAG player and wouldn't have come close to reaching the heights he reached with the Pats ?
