He said multiple times that he will play for the Eagles next year and a deal will be done. He praised the organization highly. This guy isn't going anywhere so you can take him of your wish list (he wasn't on some lists anyway).
I fear the addition of Wes Walker means the end of the Troy Brown Era as a player.I dont understand why people think he's the answer to the patriots problems in the receiving corp... I think wes welker would be more of a threat in the pariots scheme than stallworth.

Caldwell, Watson and Gaffney? 12 & 13 yards per catch.
That makes for a very big difference when it comes to how the defenses can stack up against us.
Reche was an injury prone player and lasted the season - maybe the offseason position specific training the Pats do really works?I think we should get stallworth.
He would fit in well with all the other Injury-prone patriots.
so what if he gets hurt? most other players on this team do too.
I would like to see him here.
Maybe you should refrain from the smart ass comments on this message board. He would fit in well with all the other Injury-prone patriots.

Hey wise guy! Your posts on this message board do not add to the quality of my life.maybe we can get him before training camp and he can room with Randal G@y.
He's never had any injury problems.
He can teach Donte how to stretch properly and exactly what it takes to stay healthy throughout an entire nfl season.

Let's see
We have Gaffney, Caldwell, Jackson, Kight, Childress and maybe Brown
Do you think that Brady would consider Stallworth a worthwhile upgrade from Kight? from Childress? This is a tough one! ya think?
And no, teh patriots do not count on any player (except one) to play the entire season without injury.
Uh... YEAH. Gaffney showed signs of greatness but had a terrible year. Caldwell benefitted from the system of the Pats and having Tom Brady as a quarterback. Kight? I haven't heard his name in a while. Bam Childress belongs on the practice squad where he was signed from. Chad Jackson, as much as I want to see him succeed next year, has shown nothing to warrent the excitement that people are giving him. And hopefully Brown will be back because he was our only CONSISTENT receiver this year.
Stallworth would definitely be an upgrade should he come to New England. Kraft won't pay him though so you're just kidding yourself on that one. Kraft would rather upgrade through the draft than free agency anyway.
I didn't know that Kraft had taken away draft responsibilities and cap management from BB & Pioli! When did that happen?
Link please - that's BIG news!
I always thought that Kraft, BB & Pioli all understood that you use the draft to upgrade your team of 2-4 years in the future. Anything sooner is gravy.
You use FA to try to achieve some more immediate return on investment, with established players.
I guess we're just wasting our time talking about free agents knowing now that Kraft will never pay them.
