Took me some time to grab my composure at the reality that both the offense and defense came up big when they needed too. It's about time. Hopefully it's a trend that continues from here on out.

Lloyd is a mess

McDaniels loves losing 5 yards on WR screens

McCourty WTFFFFFFFFFF

We lucked out.

The screens were poorly timed.

Lloyd isn't a mess. He is his normal self. Feast or famine with him.

It was a good play that knocked the ball loose. Let's not act like McCourty had the ball out wide and flailing or something.

OTG...

this is the first of 22 straight wins.

And it was a great win to get us back on track (minus the secondary)

TO The F*** TROLLS : Do u still say now that Brady brought this team from jaws of defeat to a victory ???

Wait yes of course, you willm coz ur Ravens/Jets lost

take your medication

You know, I'm watching this on time delay and saw the fumble by Sanchez. Nice stop by the D (finally)!

Anyone have a good recommendation blood pressure medicine for me? I really think I'm going to need it for the remainder of the season. WOW! what a turn of events.

Please. I haven't been that hard on the D but we won because they got lucky. Biggest play of the game and Hill was open by 5 yards; he dropped the ball and we went on to win. The secondary is just aweful.

I said in the game thread that Hill's drop would prove to be the biggest play of the game. I also said in the SEA game thread that the blown opportunity to close the first half with points would prove to be the deciding factor in that game. I hated being right last week and I almost hated to be wrong this week.

this team is missing something my friends .. Sanchez lit them up for over 300 yards ... Stephen Hill dropped the potential go ahead / 1st down ... we are not in the clear my friends ..

Yeah but we live to fight another day and btw as division odds on favorites and leaders!

No they didn't. The players on the field made Sanchez look good. Particularly Arrington. I don't know what happened to him, but he went from being pretty good last year to being absolutely horrible this year. He's extremely slow/late out of his breaks in coverage. He was abused all day long. I'd rather see Moore out there than Arrington.

a decent CB regressing this year, rings a bell ??

Hurray, the Patriots won a game. Yay, wee, woopie!

Do you really feel good about this win? This team looked absolutely awful in every facet of the game today for long stretches.

They let the Jets control the clock and couldn't stop their run ever which was suppose to be the strength of this defense, the secondary was predictably awful, but that was a known quantity going into the game and didn't surprise.

The offense really struggled in periods, especially Brandon Lloyd who was as atrocious as i have ever seen a player in a Patriots Uniform, and i feel like the gameplan was to continue to force the ball to him regardless of his garbage play.

Mccourty was a hero and a goat in this game, i dont know how you fumble in the most crucial of moments at the end of the game like that.

This team had better learn how to play football quickly, the Rams are a tough opponent, at least moreso than the Jets,we're almost halfway through the season and this team still hasn't gotten it together yet.

Arrington was top 10 in yards given up last year if i'm not mistaken. But it does seem like he has gotten worse.

Pass Rush is still a serious problem,Sanchez could have eaten hot dogs all day in the pocket.

No pass rush = exposed secondary

It's an equation that Patricia better change by blitzing more,if anything.

Just remember we don't even have a chance without McCourty's TD.

Yeah, the fumble was a huge play. But the 9 points we got from the D and ST were the only reason we even had a chance to win it.

This is a good point.

the jets are the 30th ranked pass offense

imagine what a top 10 qb would do....

Agree but no two games are the same. The jets scored more pts today than the broncos did for e.g
A division game is always tough and i was never expecting a blowout . They know our tendencies and we know theirs . I hated they blew a 10 pt lead and was expecting them to lose but glad the pulled it out. Hopefully this builds some confidence in the team.

I feel horrible. I left the room after McCourty fumbled and assumed the Jets won 26-23 (I didn't even see them score). Then I come out 20 or so minutes later, see it's OT with the Pats up by 3, and a few plays later it's over.

A very similar sequence of events happened with the Cardinals game except I came back just in time to see them lose :bricks:

We can talk about the Pats pros and cons later but you have to call a spade a spade and give big props to the Jets who can into Foxboro and played the Pats even.

Granted we can say the Pats left a lot points of the field and gave up way too many, but the fact remains the Jets made a LOT of plays both on offense and D. They looked MUCH better than we led ourselves to believe

Stop being such a nicey-nice milquetoast,ken.....It's the friggin' jets:TORTURE IS MANDATORY.ahhh,I feel better.Wanna share a cigarette?:)

"These teams are two average at best football teams."- Trent Dilfer

Prove em wrong boys!

Pats outscored 13-3 in 4th quarter......a common theme this year. Offense gets too tight, the defense plays too loose. Happy with the win especially considering the injuries in the secondary and O line. That being said....THIS TEAM NEEDS SPEED AT WR. Watching Jet DBs joined at the hip with our WRs is a problem.
Confession....after the McCourty fumble, I marched out of the house in disgust....and didn't return till Pats kicked OT FG. Guess I need to leave more to get wins in the close ones

The Patriots are about as good or bad as the NY Jets without their best offensive player and best defensive player. They are not a very good football team.

Up: Gronk, Welker, Vereen
Down: Lloyd, McCourty, Jones

WOW Trent Baldie Dilfer is really upset that the JETS didnt beat us, he keeps harping on how bad the Pats are blah blah blah
