Their defense has gotten A LOT better. Through four games JJ Watt is the DPOY and possibly MVP. He's a monster.
He already is something special, he's the best defensive player in the league.Do yourself a favor and watch JJ Watt. He's going to be something special.
They pass the eye test, even w/out the hard schedule yet. Very complete team, with a great running game & WR's. Schaub isn't elite, but he's as capable a 2nd tier QB as there is, and can win games.
And while Wade Phillips was a bad HC, he's one of the best DC's in the game. That D gets after the QB, covers receivers & is stout against the run. They swarm to the ball.
They're as good a team as anyone. The advantage the Pats will have when they inevitably meet in the playoffs is experience.

#1 seed with that defense and schedule. They play in the same crappy division that Manning took advantage of for years.
The Texans have beat up on Miami, Jacksonville and Tennessee. The were beating up on Denver before they relaxed. They're a good side and worthy of the #1 AFC seed right now.

They are what their record says they are.
Sorry but stats don't give context, and the W/L record is a stat. It's very possible that a 2-2 team can be significantly better than a 4-0 team.
