The 2012 season: the Jets [Mod Edit: STILL] suck

Oh oh...The JETS best QB is coming in (if they haven't totally ruined him already).

Sweet moment between The Sanchize and his Tebow on the bench as Mark gives him an attaboy (for not showing him up on opening night...).

I gotta say the Jets' o-line made me feel much better about the Pats' o-line performance last night. The Jets had 4 of their five starters (and the one missing might have been an addition by subtraction) and they looked as bad or worse as the Pats' o-line with only one starter playing in his regular season position.

What sucks is that we're only one player (Woody ---> Hunter) and 2 years removed from having one of the top O-lines in the NFL in 2010.

I hope it's just growing pains.

First game, man. The Patriots and Saints combined for 13 points last night.

Deus is right...there's only one thing I SEE has not changed...Sanchez...he looks identical to how he looked last December

I caught most of the first half at one of the online sites. On a positive note for the Jets Quentin Coples looked as good for the Jets as Jones did for the Pats, though it should be noted that his best work was done against the Bengal 2nd team OL. Kendrick Ellis was also notable. With Coples, Ellis, and Wilkerson the Jets are building a very nice young DL.

On the other hand, their OL looked as bad, if not worse, than our OL. The only difference is they don't have 3 all pros waiting in the wings to come back. There is no ground and pound without an OL.

Particularly worrisome is DBrick. He had a bad year in 2011, but up until then he'd been a very good to elite pass protector. Most thought last season was just a hiccup. If tonight is any indication, 2011 might just have been the start of a downward trend for Ferguson.

With average RB's, one experienced WR, a bad OL and a QB on the brink, its hard to see the Jets getting past the Bills let alone the Pats. They will have a very good defense, but it isn't going to be THAT good.

seeing the Jets O...don't see how they can win more than 9 games this year. Where are their points going to come from? Not their WRs. TE? RB?

Top 3 defense and Sanchez breaking out under Sparano, with Tebow mixed in here and there to throw the defense off and lead to extended scoring drives... have you missed the off-season?

I must have missed where they fixed their pass rush issue as well as their WR issue. Gronk and Hernandez have more skill than their entire WR unit LOL

Over on the JI game day thread ive seen this comment a lot:

"New offense looks eerily similar." from JI.....and they thought the problem was the OC, when all along it was THE Team

As far as the new OC... Look at the new boss same as the old boss

+1. Brady is a lot like Kerry Collins during his Raiders years, except with less talent around him. Expect 20 TD's max and 20 INT's and a 4-12 record this year.

Brady like Kerry Collins :rofl::rofl::rofl:

So has SAR I spoken
So shall it be

He's the best poster at JI

That dude is so hilariously pessimistic he never fails to get a laugh from me.

He has even uploaded the famous jets draft blunders vid and gotten over 1m views.

I envision him being an old geezer who has been a lifelong jet fan and has learned from the disappointments not to expect anything.

Coples looked good as Jones?

Wut?

Man...it's getting real bad...I thought it might have leveled off but after tonight and after reading those complete sub-mongos over at JI and GG....I find I hate everything associated with that rotten scumbag franchise more than I ever have.....I'm so friggin' infuriated I'm not even gonna water my lawn...I'm gonna let it turn pizz yellow...just so I won't have to see friggin' green when I look out the window...

SAR goes back to the old days of USENET when everyone had access to every team's newsgroup. My favs were the Bills fans. Full of it from their SB runs. Hasn't changed. SAR always enjoyed the negative attention. Still the contrarian. Always posting about his babes, wealth and income though less about this these days.
