Don't forget, Troy Brown has been pretty vocal in the last year or so as well. He's not even an ESPN talking head, but a "go-to" interview for Patriots related stuff.

I like having the extra insight into the team -- you hear some really interesting anecdotes sometimes -- but it's a slippery slope into Joe Namath territory, who seems to think he's a member of the Jets front office.

Even though Namath was right about Sanchez and Rex Ryan , it's still pretty annoying...

well in a way, but you got to start to wonder if he has less passion for the pats and more passion talking about himself and the past . . . just saying . . .

bringing up the past once and a while is one thing, but to throw it out there each time there is problem or issue with the team can come off as tooting your own horn a little bit too much . . .

I read somewhere (I think it was in the War Room book) where Bruschi said after the '07 Super Bowl loss he went down to the team party. He said he really didn't feel like it but with his guests he had in town that were there and waiting for him he thought it would be the right thing to do.

Who knows, Gronk probably had family and friends at the party, and went there for their sake. After a few too many, he went a bit to far with the shirtless dancing. I would rather he sulked like the rest of us but at the end of the day it's not a big deal.

I can't lie. I'm a little tired of him talking smack about the Patriots and every move they make. I understand when he was here, they did things a little differently but riding Gronk for having a little fun after a huge loss? Really?

People deal with things differently, if Rodney wanted to kill himself or stay depressed for the rest of the year then so be it. You are talking about a 22-23 year old kid that broke every single freagin TE record possbible and played as best as he could in the Superbowl....

He keeps talking about, "What he would have done and what Bruschi would have done if they had just lost that game." Who cares. This is a different team, much younger so let them be. They got here after you and all of your analyst friends doubted them the whole way. Please fall back!

Good point about the War Room anecdote, I had forgotten about that. I would imagine none of them wanted to go and got talked into it to 'get their mind off things'. And if one drink makes you feel better, two would help even more. ...and pretty soon down that road were shirtless and Party Rocking just makes sense. Especially Gronk, he seems like after a beer or two he can go Frank The Tank on us.

I must ask you, weren't you just a bit surprised to see all that dancing by guys who lost? What's to celebrate? The loss? Just being there? Puleeeeaaasse... The fans felt like crap after that loss and some of those players showed us what? I would say they certainly did not show that there was any downside in their minds about losing. Now, I'm a pretty reasonable guy but their behavior spoke volumes to me and they were negative volumes. Sorry but that's how I feel.

I am sure that Tedy felt the same way, he would not have given them a pass for that and he, like Rodney would be 100% correct.

Why would you consider it celebrating?

If you suffered the most disappointing day of your career and were out of town with 53 coworkers staying in a hotel, would it take more than 30 seconds to conclude the next stop is a lot of alcohol?
Do you think a 23 year old in a loud bar drinking to forget his sadness is going to sit in the corner and pout?
This is what young people do when they drink, whether they are drinking in celebration of disappointment.
What were you looking for a few suicide attempts?

I'm not and every time I hear Rodney, Tedy, Willie, Ty and Troy on TV, I most often find it either informative or entertaining or both. I sometime even wish Colvin would come on and toss in his views. All of these guys were tough, SOBs who tolerated no BS either from opposing players or within their own clubhouse. Frankly, I wish BB would hire more of his players from the dynasty teams as assistant coaches.

This is cool and as I said, I understand that this is how he remembers the Patriot locker room but my argument is that its not 2003,2004 anymore.

Umm...duh? I think that was part of the point Rodney was making. Those teams won and wouldn't have done that in a loss. People here often long for the good old days. That was part of the reason they were good. Guys took everything personal and serious.

Personally, when I heard Rodney's reaction it made me wish we still had him leading in the locker room...
I think that style of leadership and that example may be exactly what's missing.
So no, not sick of Rodney Harrison at all. He was a great Patriot and in some ways, sometimes, still sort of is.

I'd have more respect for Harrison if he'd ripped into Light with the same intesnity that he went after his non-former teammate Gronk.
Just wish Gronk had told Harrison to stick it and not with an HGH needle.

I heard on the Big Show yesterday that they all had family and friends that were their for the party.

TE's don't win championships. Leadership on Defense does. Harrison is the man, and for ever will be. And I side with him on this. I have never felt like celebrating after failing to achieve one of my life's goals. EVER... and Harrison, like me, things that is strange.
