Nothing against Gisele, but I liked it better when Brady wasn't that big of a household name, made average QB money, was no big cover fashion model and had no marital attachments.

Time my friend..it marches on. And for the record..Brady was a household name, and "fashion model"before he met Gisele...

bingo ! we have a winner. take the lumps and move on...

You just don't say something about someone's wife like that.

Here's what I don't get.

This story is on NFL.COM. Does no one over there think this is inappropriate?

Then there's a string of other stories there, something about some mocking of Brady sweeping the nation.

And yet another silly anti-Patriot story after that.

This is the NFL. Not the National Inquirer.

Too bad Patriots are going to keep getting disrespected until they show up and beat teams up who do. I sometimes wish they would talk smack back but it's not in the team's nature.

what do you expect? the world loves to see things like this happen to the pats......the price for consistent success......

guys like ryan get laughed at........the more you succeed, the more pointed these things become.

the reason why the giants won't be as hated is because the year after they win the SB, they don't even make the playoffs....they don't stay good long enough to earn to be hated nationally

No, I agree. All I'm saying is that haters are out in full force and we can't do squat about it.

everybody here would be slurping up the barbs the pats would be hurling across the fence had they won like it was the best gravy ever.

I think its fitting

And yet there are plenty of Giants fans saying this is out of bounds and that Jacobs should STFU.

So you're saying ALL people on this board are classless, while Giants fans have class.

not at all......winners pound their chests, losers don't

I didn't say I approve of it, I'm just saying it was fitting because it is what you would expect, like it or not

I understand the disdain for Giselle, she should have kept her mouth shut.
However, as a woman, I have a problem with some dude attacking another man's wife, verbally or otherwise. She is not a football player and she was having a conversation with someone, she was not being interviewed. She might as well leave the country, that's the only way she will be free to speak her mind. That so called freedom of speech does not exist in this country for everyone. Only certain people are allowed to say what they want.
That is very disrespectful, IMHO. If some guy ever said that to me, my boyfriend would beat the **** out of him.

Dude you won the game. Go get fitted for your ring, enjoy the parade and (Please be quiet - edited)!

Fine the Pats deserve to be ridiculed, it comes with the territory when you lose. But going after a man's wife/extended family is over the line, IMHO.

I never had respect for Jacobs and I have even less respect for him now. The man is a coward.

I look forward to seeing Brandon Jacobs special on HBO with Bryant Gumbel in 20 years. You know, the special about how he blew through millions of dollars and had to pawn his Super Bowl rings after his career is over and ends up a crack bum in South Beach, Florida.

Sounds like a plan :rocker:

I forgot who said this...I think it was Parcells...."just because someone asks you a question doesn't mean you have to answer it."

Dumbazz reporter ask Jacobs what he thought of the Giselle comments (that were private and said in an emotional state after a loss and a Giants fans heckles), What Jacobs should have said was "it's none of my business" However, Jacobs never met a camera he did not like, so he says something somewhat derogatory about someone else's wife. You just don't go there.

He's just bitter because she makes so much more $ than him. ;)

so basically.....they're equally inept in being aware of their surroundings

just because she said it in private doesn't change the meaning of what she said, even though there are many here who would say it does. it doesn't angry or not, she stated an opinion that's hard to back away from .

She might as well leave the country. She has no freedom to speak here. Everything she says will and has been held against her.

The networks pick this stuff up because it is news unfortunately.....tabloid news but news none the less. BJ commenting on Giselle!! What are we going to be subjected to next......Jacob's comments on wind power vs Solar?

We are left with sucking it up and just taking it.

Jacobs is an idiot though.

Did you see him after the game screaming about the key to the game being that the Giants outhit the Pats? .....another effort on his part to make himself relevant. Jacobs would have us believe that the whole game turned on his 3 yards and a cloud of dust plays because he "punished" the Pats defenders in the process....ridiculous.

Jacobs has always seemed to me the kind of back that all to often becomes less effective as the game wears on....exactly the opposite of what you would expect from a big back that has "softened" up the defense.

This latest garbage is just a continuation of the earlier garbage. What the hell does that nutcase expect? I don't see any Pepsi commercials commin' his way anytime soon. Do the world a favor BJ and fade back out of the bright lights and into the background where you belong.

She was emotional and hurting for her husband. I probably would have said worse under the same circumstances.

Listen, when you lose a game, some people will come out and blast the loser. Giants, Giants fans, fans of other teams, etc. Comes with the territory. I get that. I just think that players wives should be off limits to players. Football fans, or haters, can and will say whetever they want. As someone said to me last night, Welker made feigned comments about Rex Ryan's foot fetish...someone blasting his wife...and was benched for the first series of a game. Jacobs flaps his mouth and is instant TV bite and gets no flack for it. The tale of two organizations. Too bad the mouths won, but as another coach says, "it is what it is."

Jacobs can enjoy the view of Gisele and the view of TFB from the crowd during Tom's HOF acceptance speech.

By that time (the not-to-distant future) he'll be living under a highway overpass, just like James Harrison.

she absolutely does have the freedom to say whetever she pleases........but along with that freedom comes the freedom of response. that's life.....if you act like an idiot in public, you get treated like one (not saying she was an idiot.....just a euphemism)
