I've been thinking about this in the back of my mind all week now. I really think the Stephen Gostkowski is going to be the dark horse for the patriots. I'm thinking something like 3/3 on FGs will a go ahead FG with like 1:00 or so left.

NO ONE is talking about the Ghost and he's gonna be a huge factor in the game.

My dark horse for Super Bowl MVP is Peyton Manning.

:D

With all due respect, I think 99% of Pats fans would prefer that Gostkowski score 9 points on XPs than FGs. :)

You mean the kicker that missed a 27-yarder the last time they played the Giants

I don't know how a kicker is a huge factor in a game unless its a negative one a last second game winnoe or a blizzard.
Kickers rarely attempt kicks they aren't expected to make at an 80% or highe clip.

Could happen. The power could go out in Indy, and they could finish the game by pointing flashlights at his forehead and playing in the reflection.

People forget Adam Vinateri was 0/2 on FGs until the final kick.

By darkhorse I meant X-factor.

I would be happy with the Ghost going 5/5 PAT's and the Giants starting inside the 20 on every one.

From your lips to God's ears, but I haven't seen anything from the lad that gives me that kind of confidence. Here's hoping that Gostkowski can channel Adam Vinatieri when the all the chips are on the table.

My dark horse is Woodhead. If the Giants are too agressive with the pass rush, we could burn them with some screens. I know we haven't seen much of them this year, but that's an interesting wriking I'd expect JM to try and convince BOB to use.

don't laugh...devin mccourty...1 INT..1 FF

I could be wrong but I am inclined to think that it will be the Law Firm getting the bulk of the carries.

BB hates turnovers and hates them even more in big games. In fact given the difference in Giants performance in games where they turn the ball over and the Pats performance in games where they turn the ball over, the Pats getting one turnover if they give none could be the deciding factor in this game. The Law Firm might see the ball a few times in this game.
