My mind boggles as to why Sterling Moore was released earlier this year

Sterling Moore Makes Plays

He hits hard and appears to be in the right spot most times. Dislodges the ball, makes interceptions.

Fights for the ball. Before he was cut earlier this year, he looked like the only S we had who could play.

Re: Sterling Moore Makes Plays

best DB on the team? Today he was

Re: Sterling Moore Makes Plays

Like McCourty, Moore is a S/CB. I like the scheme potential that has for the playoffs. You know the Defensive game-plans will be turned up a notched.

The kid showed good skills, hit hard and was an immediate impact player the minute he took the field.

I for one,am mind boggled as to why he was let go a few weeks ago and am thankful to God that he was able to be picked back up and back on the field.

I don't know about some of you,but this rookie Safety looks like a keeper....this was not the only game he looked decent in so it's not based on just today.

Re: Sterling Moore Makes Plays

I posted on Moore as well

The kid is a keeper and should start somewhere in the secondary

Molden should Not

Re: Sterling Moore Makes Plays

He will probably be cut to make room for Ross Ventrone. :)

molden no..but at least he made a play at the end

Belichick can't see everything, he relies on his staff to evaluate based on practice, games, and film. He acts on their opinions. Unfortunately, most of the staff aside from Scar and Pepper aren't proven as talent evaluators, or had prior success coaching football before...

Love Moore's 2 picks in the second half. Also thought McCourty played much better as a safety.

How about film?? Does that help??

As far as the other coaches how do you know that??

Moore looks like one of those "where did Belichick find him" guys. I hope he continues to improve.

Film does help, but Belichick isn't sitting there watching every snap of every player on his team and practice squad. It isn't just cutting guys on his own team, his draft picks rely on the opinions of his staff and evidence has shown that Belichick gets bad info sometimes from his people. He makes the best decisions he can but has to assume the info he works with from his staff is usable.

Let's not get rid of him this time.

I remember I picked Moore as our most impressive JAG in a poll a while ago, then he was cut that week and I felt pretty stupid.

Feeling vindicated today.

for the love of god, can the secondary coach teach Arrington how to look for the god damn football?

BB does see everything when it comes to his roster, and if he only has 2 coaches that can do their job, thats on him. But I don't think thats the case.

I was really impressed with Moore as well. It seemed, when he took out Mccourty he disappeared. Glad to see him back. How the hell does an opposing team scheme against another team when you dont even know who's playing? I love it!!

I think it was one double move by Gaicon in the colts game that disappointed the coaches. He is the best we have in terms of acceleration to the pass. The rest of our secondary get stuck in their tracks when the receiver breaks his route.

I loved his play today. Unlike the other DBs, who seem to always give 10 yard cushions, he stuck to his receiver like glue.
