Comparing NE, GB, and NO

Some other stats:

Welkers:
NE: 1
NO: 0
GB: 0

GRONKs:
NE: 1
NO: 0
GB: 0

Belichicks:
NE: 1
NO: 0
GB: 0

The best of the three coaches? Say's who? Both of those coaches have won a SB more recently than Belichick and both of those coaches have had more success in the recent years than BB.

The best of the three QB's? Again...what makes you say that? Rodgers is putting up all time great numbers and Brees is no slouch either.

More hunger? I'll say it again...what? Did you interview everyone from NO/GB or something? What qualifies you to say that?

OK, lets start chronologically....

1. until the other two guys win two more SB's, BB is the best of the three

2. i said best due to clutchness this season, hence Brady wins out...also b/c hes been playing at such high level much longer than aaron, and a bit longer than brees

3. hunger as i explained it, b/c they are the team in the longest SB drought, and have the least number of players w/ a SB win...

GB has won 19 of its last 20. Are you sure NE is the hottest team? Unless you only want to count the last 2 weeks, then GB is still the hottest team in the NFL IMO.

how about i count the last seven weeks? in which the pats have been undefeated and the pack have lost one?

I've said it once and I'll say it again, NE would have a slim to no chance against GB/NO in the Super Bowl.

I don't care what the stats say. NO/GB both have QB's that are playing at a higher level than Brady and both teams have more weapons on offense. Remember that NO Monday night game a few years back? It'd be a repeat of that game.

I can only imagine what Brees/Rodgers would do to the scrubs we have playing in the secondary.

i missed this one....

it will NOT be a repeat of that game, that team was semi-decent, and weak mentaly...not sure if you remember that game, but you guys were allowed at least 2 td's on ppl that got NO covereage b/c the defense messed up their assignments

i would not expect that this time around, this time around it will be NOTHING like that game....that game cant be used as a comparison to anything really

If New England were to make it that far, I have a hard time seeing how this defense would stop either team from scoring every possesion.

I don't recall Breeze ever losing to the Patriots (and I am to lazy to look it up now).

It is going to be tough enough just making it.

looking at the stats, I dont know if anyones noticed. but Green Bay is allowing a whopping 9less yards per game than the patriots...yet somehow Green bay is the best team in football and thus should be handed the trophy and the patriots have no chance:bricks:

for me the AFC is the pats and steelers one of them will be in the SB, the NFC is more wide open one of the coyboys or Giants wich ever team makes the playoffs could get hot and go on a run they are both very talented teams,

the 49ers have a amazing defense and a great running game if KC can beat the packers i know the 49ers can

Brees lost to the Pats in 2001, unless I am remembering incorrectly and Flutie was the Chargers QB that day.

Pherein....question:

On your journey to Indy, if you had the choice, what teams would you prefer to face?

Baltimore and Pittsburgh OR SF & GB??

I want SF, because their the best defense , and I want GB because their offense is the best. We don't want to avoid teams. We are either better or you kick our ass, pretty simple.

i kinda feel the same way about it but you can look at the AFC over the last few years... colts pats steelers ravens jets san diego all beating up on each other they pretty much have notting left the NFC has won 3 of the last 4 SB's because of that IMO the saints was the only team out of all the NFC team that won the SB that was a better team

I'd rather worry about making the SB right now. Plus there are no guarantees that either of those teams make the SB. I still think a team can shock in the NFC.

I think Detroit is looking like a dangerous team that could do some damage. GB, NO, SF, Detroit are all legit SB contenders IMO.

Fact: The Packers defense is the worst in the league at forcing punts.

As long as you don't turn the ball over, it's just as easy to move the ball on them as any team in the NFL. They've probably got the most overrated defense in the NFL right now. Tramon Williams isn't playing like the same guy who made the pro bowl last year (sound familiar?), teams have finally figured out how to stop Matthews as a pass rusher (NINKOVICH has more sacks right now), and Raji is more of a 350 pound teddy bear right now than the 350 pound elite DT he was a year ago. The only thing saving that defense is the turnovers. Sounds familiar? It's the 2010 Pats all over again.

Your the best team in the AFC , and don't think GB or NO are not scratching there heads thinking about how to beat you, and Brady. I only hope nothing weird happens and NE goes to the Super Bowl . They deserve it so far, and are the best team to represent the AFC.

Question on the Saints.

As the proverbial "dome team", do you feel it's the Superdome or domes in general?

Also, what exactly happened in St Louis this year?

GB has barely played any good teams.

I actually feel as though we would have a better shot against GB than NO. NO is playing at a very high level, not to mention the SB is being played in a building they scored 62 pts in earlier this year. NO is looking very tough to beat right now, but allot can change once the playoffs begin. Hopefully, NE can tighten up all aspects of their game and compete. IMO outside reciever is a glaring hole for this team. Whomever decides to man up on the outside and pressure Brady will have the best shot at beating this team.

The problem with NO is that unless GB gets knocked off early, they have to go up to GB and win a game. In September that is no biggy, but in January??? Going to be tough for them to with that game.

Detroit is a dumb team and SF's offense just plain sucks. Detroit could get lucky, any given Sunday and all, but I think GB has the best shot right now. If they were playing indoors I would give a big edge to NO.

How do those stats look in the second half of the season?

How are injuries and recoveries changing the teams from when those stats were achieved?

Here we have the big loss of Carter, the actual or presumed returns of various ILBs and Chung, the hoped-for post-injury improvement of McCourty, and some recent fears about the left side of the OL. What are the analogous stories for NO and GB?
