I didn't see the whole game, but a few takeaways:

1. I believe the Texans would have made it to the championship game with Schaub or Leinart, but with Yates they'll probably be 1 and done.

2. Jerome Boger is ****. The man thinks any contact with the QB is roughing the passer.

3. Curtis Painter must be really bad. Orlovsky's won 2 in a row and almost pulled out the one against us.

4. Polian is an idiot for cutting him in August and keeping Painter+Collins

5. Polian is an idiot for waiting until 9/27 to re-sign him

6. Caldwell is an idiot for waiting until December to start him

7. How did we not draft any of Brooks Reed, JJ Watt, Connor Barwin?

8. From an asset standpoint, I hope the Rams or Vikings get the #1 pick and trade it-- to anybody but the Browns. I do not want Luck in this city on this team that I can not stand.

Orlovsky makes pretty good decisions with the football, and he actually has some pocket presence. It's nice to see the hometown guy doing well in the NFL... ditto for Donald Brown.

I mean yeah, I hate the Colts, but I don't hate their players, and they deserved to win the game. I don't know if you can get unluckier than they did on the Texans final FG drive, essentially stopping them twice outside of FG range but for a ridiculous double-tipped catch and an inadvertant helmet to helmet hit. To come back after that (with a little help from Boger) must feel good for that team.

You kidding me? The only reason they scored the final TD was because they were handed ridiculous penalties in the red zone by the refs reviving that drive at least three times. Let's recall the missed field goal, blatantly obvious offensive pass interference that went uncalled, etc. Honestly to me it looked like the Colts did more than enough to lose but the refs weren't going to let them blow it. I'm not saying that all of the players wanted to lose, obviously Orlovsky, Wayne, Peyton etc are beyond excited, but I bet Polian isn't going to sleep tonight.

Stop with the conspiracies, reading that post makes me sick.

The colts will guarantee themselves luck by rolling over next week against the Jags (which they will do, count on it). They have clearly played the worst strength of schedule when compared to the Rams and Vikes.

Rich Eisen just confimed what I said. A Colt loss next week gives the Colt's the #1 pick. They are going to roll over like pigs next week. I knew it. They could have afforded to look good on national TV this week, finally try to win a game knowing they can seal Luck in next week. If the Colts win next week I will be on here and you can all feed me crow and I will eat it.

BTW here is an article that shows the Vikes could now get the #1 overall pick:

» If the Colts lose to the Texans, the best their strength of schedule could be at the end of the season is .5469.

» If the Vikings lose their final two games, the worst their strength of schedule could be also is .5469.

» The Rams' strength of schedule could be at worst .5586, so they cannot land the No. 1 pick if the Colts lose a 14th game because Indy's best strength of schedule would be lower than the worst possible for St. Louis.
» The only other tiebreakers for draft order apply to teams in the same division or conference, which the Colts and Vikings are not. What this means is if any of the Colts' unique opponents (teams who didn't also play the Vikings) lose or any of the Vikings' unique opponents win, then Indy will lock up the No. 1 pick. It will just take one loss by a Colts unique opponents or one win by a Vikings unique opponent.
NFL.com news: Colts would pick no worse than No. 2 if they lose to Texans

you just said the same thing about tonight's game...seems you're addicted to "count on it!"...start counting sheep instead and get a good nights sleep

Again, how can you count on the Colts losing to the Jags if both teams try to lose? The Jags have nothing to play for and have just as much reason to lose the game as the Colts. I see a 0-0 tie coming.

the bigger thing is how the texans played. if the jets get the wild card, they have a great chance of winning their first game and maybe setup a AFC Div matchup rematch.

Interesting, so you are here telling me the Colts are going to actually try to win that football game next week knowing it's going to cost them luck? Um OK, if you say so.

Colts have the advantage over JAX because they don't have Blaine Gabbert

Next week's game will most likely set the record for most turnovers in a game. Again, you can ignore the simple fact that the Jags don't want Luck in the division and have already quit.

If I was a betting man, I would be on the Colts upsetting the Jags. If the Colts were Sucking for Luck, it was stupid to win tonight. They were playing a team with everything to lose tonight and the Jags have nothing to win by beating the Colts. It is in the Jags' best interest to lose next week. They win if Luck goes to someone else other than the Colts.

Rich Eisen just confirmed what I said, end of story. Colts lose next week, they lock up Luck.

Ummm.. And NFL.com says you may be wrong. Rich Eisen could be wrong.

Can't get Luck if you are 3-13 and at least one other team is 2-14. Just saying.

If the Colts are Sucking for Luck, they were morons to win this game. No matter how much they try to suck next week, they cannot guarantee that the Jags won't suck worse.

You'll see the proof in the pudding next week. You've been trying to defend the Colts not sucking for luck. I have believed it since day one and you'll see it play out next week, just watch.

So you are going to tell me that the Jags are going to try to win the game next week when they know if they lose, they don't have to compete against the Andrew Luck led Colts for the division for the next decade or two? Again, the Jags have just as much incentive to lose next week as the Colts. The Colts should have won tonight if they are Sucking for Luck. All bets are off next week. The Jags will want to be Andrew Luck spoilers.

i agree with you 100% about the Jags rolling over knowing they don't want to face Luck in their division for the next 15 years, I agree. And if the Colts lose to a team that is intentionally rolling over, then it's the ultimate proof that the Colts wanted Luck all along at the cost of winning football games. Will you finally come around on this if the Colts lose next week to that horrible football team that doesn't want to win?

So you think the Colts are willing to tank the entire season to get Andrew Luck because he will be the next Manning, but you don't think a division rival who already had their coach fired and are playing for nothing won't try to lose a game to make sure that a potential HOF QB doesn't go to your division rivals.

If the Colts have tried to Suck for Luck this season, the Jags are certainly very likely going to Suck for Luck to go elsewhere for one game.

Right and the Colts losing to that piss poor team next week is going to prove their entire strategy this season. IT will truly be the proof in the pudding.

Again, if the Colts are truly Sucking for Luck, why try to win any games until you have locked up the #1 pick? The last two weeks (along with close games this season like the one vs. the Steelers) kinda shows that they probably weren't.

All bets are off next week. No matter how much the Colts try to lose next week, they can still lose because the Jags are certainly capable to suck worse.

Again, what if they win? If the Colts try to lose and the Jags try to lose, the Colts could easily win. That is why it looks like aren't Sucking for Luck because they needed to lose one of the last two games to guarantee the #1 spot.

This argument is getting silly though.
