Bring back Randy Moss I say.

If offense showed up before the end of the third quarter, the defense would have been lauded today. It is the offenses' fault that this was a game inside the last two minutes. It was mostly on the defense and the special teams. The defense did more an their part for 3 1/2 quarters, but the offense put them in a hole.
I don't disagree that the Patriots O was poor today. What you refuse to accept is that the Patriots O gave the Patriots D a lead with roughly 90 seconds and 80 yards to stop the Giants.

The Patriots D is crap. I'm not going to bother deluding myself that they aren't anymore.

How many turnovers? You usually make sense, Ausbacker. Not today.

Yes, it is the defense's fault that Brady threw two picks and missed a wide open Ochocinco in the end zone and Edelman fumbling away a punt. Sorry, this loss is on the offense and the special teams.

anyone who puts all the blame on the defense is delusional. The defense kept them in the game for the entire first half. The Offense sucked for most of the game. Dunno why both sides cant play well on the same week.

I agree about both side not playing well. Offense was not great but got better as the game went on and score the last 4 drives when they had the ball.

The D on the other hand got worse and allowed the Giants to march up the field not once, but twice scoring TD on each time. The defense once again faltered when they were needed most.

It's official. I hate this team.

how can everyone blame this defense. we scored 0 points until late 3rd quarter. 4 Turnovers. The D actually kept us in the game with the arrington INT. This game is not on them.

The defense did great in the first half. Kudos.

But they definitely crapped the bed in the 4th quarter. If they had at least held the Giants to a FG, then we goto OT. But when you have the lead with under 2 minutes to go, a good defense, wins you the game. This defense is not good. The Pats defense cannot stop the opponent from scoring when it counts.

Bring back Randy Moss I say.

Only if Moss can put on the pads and play decent Safety for us.

I saw a defense that was handed a lead twice in the fourth quarter, and promptly coughed it up on both occasions in almost no time. I don't care what they did in the first half, that was pathetic.

Kind of like the offense was pathetic the first three quarters- cant have it both ways--- THE TEAM LOST THIS GAME

People saying don't blame the defense - when it mattered, what did they do? They let the Giants march down the field at ease and Brown made the most boneheaded play I've ever seen.

Complete lack of composure - that should have been a W even if it did look unlikely for most of the game.

no one says the D is our strenght. so you cant expect them to be the ravens D for last 2 mins. it shouldnt have come to it...

or we could draft some players and actually develop them so we don't have ocho's clueless ass out there lol. Tracy white and sergio brown should never see an nfl field for the rest of their lives.

All they had to do was keep them out of the endzone with a minute and a half left and 80 yards away. The game came down to that and when it MATTERED, they played like they have all year.

How can you blame the offense if they gave the defense a 3 point lead with a minute and a half left in the game?

Are you expecting our offense to score 35 points every game?

why was Tracy White covering anyone and when did he get on the roster has he been here all season or was he a new signing ?

Yes. the defense had no answers for Eli Manning today at all. That is why he passed for 6 TDs, 500 yards, and completed 80% of his passes.

Seriously, they made two stupid penalties in the last two drives that put the Giants in scoring position, but the first 55 minutes of the game they were great. They need to be more consistent, but for a game that was supposed to be a shootout it turned into a defensive battle most of the game.

It makes perfect sense to me. The Patriots O played poorly yet gave the Patriots D a lead with 90 odd seconds and 80 yards to drive. The D couldn't protect 3 points in 90 seconds with 80 yards. That is not a failure on offense when you have the lead.

Tunnel vision. The defense wasn't perfect, but the offense was the problem totday. Turnovers.

You can't stop Eli!!!!!!

Seriously haven't we seen thisgame before? At least Merriweahter would have been so out of position he wouldhave never beeb called for PI! Honestly with all thos draft picks, why is it that three undrafted rookie free agents are on the feild for two big PIs and then finally to get beat for the game winning TD. Maybe if BB had drafted some talent, or maybe trade up every now and again, or here's something novel, actually use your first round picks!!!

This team is toast! The Giants were without Nicks, and Bradshaw. Did a Pats WR not named Welker even make a catch today?

What happened to Hanesworth did he get hurt? Could Ochostinyo be a bigger dissapointment?

Toast plain and simple.......................

Even the biggest homers on this board have to wonder wft? Poor personnel moves are becomming all to obvious! Absolutely no outside threat. The defensive back seven could'nt have made a stop in last nights Alabama / LSU game. I'm ready to trade one Bill for another. Cowher brings physical football back to New England, you heard it here first.

no one said this D is good. everyone knows that. So they did more than they are capable of. The offense on the other hand which is the supposed strenght of this team put them in this hole

If they beat the Jets next week we'll be two games up on them. Let's hope they show up for that one.

As bad as they were (and they were at times) the bottom line is that when the offense was needed they came through and once again the D did not. It is inexcusable that this team could not keep the giants out of the end zone for 1:20. I don't even know what to say.

Both of the late PI calls were completely bogus based on how the game was being called today. The game was (thankfully) based on non-calls all day and then the refs decide to call them on two completely bulls#!t plays. What a terrible way to lose.

Today's game is incredibly frustrating because the one time that our defense plays somewhat decently, our offense ends up being the main reason we lose. Unbelievable.
