Best free agent signing thus far?

Muddy Waters. Can't wait until Seabass comes back. Solder at te. Gronk lined up right to the left of him off of the line. A. Hernandez will be a short-flex te on the right. That team is going to run the ball down team's throats all year if we stay healthy.

Wai'll you get a load of Marcus Cannon!!

Alot of people here have been saying Mark Anderson - - but that's because chicks dig the longball - :) .

Don't get me wrong, he's done very well and I'm happy he's here.

Andre Carter, however, has been even better at what he does (not as flashy as a sack) in my opinion.

Thta being said, Brian Waters is the best FA signing overall.

Let's give Connolly some credit.

He's been very impressive filling in again, but he wasn't a FA. He will be after this year though...

And yes, Waters has been a life saver. Where would we be without him?

Ihedigbo by far.

lol it's definitely Waters... even if you count Haynesworth/85 as signings

Waters has been great.

Seriously speaking I am really glad we signed Ihedigbo. Anyone who can keep the other 2 guys out of the backfield is really needed.

The trade deadline has not yet passed. We can still trade for Sanders!

You will get no argument from me that guy has been a quiet beast. Lovin' it, truly lovin' it.

Some things to ponder about OchoCinco -

He's currently the #3 WR behind Branch and SuperWelker..

He's currently 5th in the receiving progressions since Hernandez and Gronkowski are ahead of him. This should surprise no one since the Pats have continued to go strong with the 2-TE sets.

Now, would I like to see the Pats get Chad and Taylor Price on the field more? Yes. But when your top 4 receivers are so dynamic and so terribly frustrating to opponents in terms of mismatches, that's a very hard thing to do.

I was happy that Chad got 2 more receptions (shoulda had that 3rd one). Are we likely to see Chad back next year? Probably not. But only time will tell.

Are we only counting free agent signings this past off season?

Based on the other replies, yes. I believe that is what the OP intended. Free Agent signings from this past off-season.

exactly what ive been saying, Chad consistently has come out there and gotten a couple catches a game for first downs, so he is producing in limited opportunities on the field...he wouldve had 3 catches against the raiders if not for the welker penalty. im sure if he was targeted as much as hernandez/branch he would have better stats...surely Belichick knew that he would get limited opportunities when he signed him considering we already have welker, branch, gronk, hernandez ahead of him

Branch is pretty injury prone so chances are Ocho will get some games with opportunities for more snaps..also, branch is getting older and is a free agent this summer..so you never know if ocho will stay on(and maybe renegotiate for less $$)

I expect the patriots to use the Bye week and find a role for Ochocinco where he can be more productive within the offense....its a long season, and while its great to see wlker performing so well, but do we want him getting "lit up" 7-8 times a game over a 16game season? we need him healthy

Waters has been a beast. Damn, what a difference he makes out there. In fact, he'd get alot of votes for best signing but, Mr. Solder right next to him will get many votes for AFC Offensive Rookie of the year.
