You can't really blame them. If we keep passing at this rate our QB is gonna be carted off the field in a wheelchair. Check that, he might actually die on the field.
They need to establish some sort of run game. They've done nothing so far. Top 5 the last two years to 3rd from the bottom this year. Its atrocious.

What about "The Terminator"?
McFadden had one great rushing play and then a total non-factor as a runner the rest of the game.
On what planet do you get to pick and choose which plays 'count' when evaluating our defense?
I would rather have a guy who gains 150 yards on 20 carries because he broke a couple of long ones rather than a guy who picked up 7 plus yards on every carry.......the previous poster had a valid point

I'm not picking and choosing. I didn't say the 41 yarder didn't count, but it was about 15 seconds in 60 minutes of play. To ignore that other than that one play, McFadden was a non-factor as runner the rest of the game is just as non-valid as trying to cherry pick stats. McFadden did break for one big play and then got shutdown for the rest of the game as a runner. Those are the facts.
Not buying this. Haloti Ngata, Ed Reed and Terrell Suggs aren't walking through that door. Sanchez throws for 350+ this week.
You can't jedi hand wave away inconvenient facts. No more than I can go 'if you take away a couple of passes then the Pats defense totally shut down Vincent Jackson!'
Stopping the big run is a huge part of a run defense. Some backs will whittle away at a team for 2 yards here, 4 yards there until they break off the big one.
I'm not down on the Pats defense - especially their run defense - as much as some are, I'm just more rolling my eyes at your decision to arbitrarily deem a big run as somehow not a factor in assessing the Pats' performance against run DMC.
First, I am talking one run, not "a couple of passes". One play can skew the stats (see below). The fact that he was a non-factor on the ground other than one play is not cherry picking stats.
Second, the Vincent Jackson comparision is a red herring and not even the same. Jackson got 171 yards and two TDs. McFadden got 75 yards and no TDs on the ground. How is that remotely a fair comparison. That is saying that taking away Sanchez's couple of turnovers for TDs, he and Brady pretty much had the same day on this past Sunday.
Third, even with that 41 yards, the Pats shut him down since going into the game he was averaging 131 yards a game. He got 75 against the Pats. I'm not saying the 41 yard run was not a factor. I am saying it is one play out of 14 that McFadden ran. Other than that play, the Pats shutdown McFadden on the ground and that is a fact.
Third, without that run, he ran for 34 yards the rest of the game at an average of 2.6 YPC. So are you suggesting that since McFadden averaged over 5 YPC with that 41 yard run that McFadden ran all over the Patriots and the Patriots had no answer.
Ok, you win. McFadden had a monster game on the ground that the Pats had no answer all game. McFadden rushed for over 5 yards a carry which means the Pats run defense couldn't stop him all game.
Funny, I am rolling my eyes that you would use such a BS comparison to make your point and you have zero inability to comprehend my point.
