A lot of good it them.
So you're just trolling instead of discussing. There's a shocker.

Are you drunk?
Who have the Jets lost? Braylon Edwards? We replace him with a better player in Plax. Damien Woody? Wayne Hunter was the starter at the end of the season, and against your Pats in the playoffs. Sean Ellis? The Jets didn't want him, and replaced him with youth.
What reality are you living in? How exactly have the Pats improved themselves? Chad Johnson & Fat Albert? good luck with those guys.

I can't wait until the regular season starts so we can actually begin to make some real assessments of teams. This extrapolation of past seasons and projections of player performance are almost as useless as the "my player is better than yours" arguments.
I do have to say however, that this board does have a better quality of football discussion then that at JI. The level of hate they spew is just over the top.
Not to mention having a fully-healthy Welker back for an entire year, and Deion Branch for an entire season.
Only a delusional Jets fan would think the Patriots haven't made significant improvements while the rest of the world writes articles about how they did.
How's it trolling? I'm in like 4 different discussions lol. Just because you may not like what I say doesn't mean it's trolling.
Hello, folks. I'm new here and yes, I'm a Jets fan. Not here to troll or flick boogers at anyone...the site I usually frequent (Jetnation) is down right now after an upgrade and I thought I'd see how the other half lives while waiting for the hurricane to roll through.
That being said, i find it a bit ironic that the thread began as a discussion of the Jets fan's mass delusion and general inabilty to discuss football without being insulting, brash, obnoxious, etc. yet a few of the Jets fans posting responses in this thread were immediately backed into corner and forced to parry in order to defend themselves and their fandom. This isn 't a knock on Pats fans or even an indictment of this board in particular...but an observation that opposing fans will tend to get into internet pi**ing matches regardless of how civil they initially intend to be. So the lesson: Judge not lest ye be judged.
Regardless of the above, the JN site on which i post has a few resident Pats fans that have become and ingrained part of the posting community. They are friends and have learned to deal with attacks that are more comical than cynical. We have fun, and there is salty language to be sure, but that's what we enjoy. Many of us have been posting there for years and know the limits and sensitivities of the others. So what might appear raw and vicious, is often inside jokes and good natured humor. The profanity filter can get a workout, but that's what it's there for. Anyway, hope the soapbox wasn't too brusque for a first post. if i'm not welcome a word will suffice and I'll respect the wishes of the board.
Be safe, batten down the hatches, and best of luck during the storm.
For a team that's supposedly not any good, you sure pay a lot of attention to them---I mean, not enough attention to have any idea what you're talking about or be able to spell their players' names correctly, but still a lot of attention.
Your response was a troll post. You know that. Don't insult the intelligence of either one of us by pretending you don't.

No, trolling is if that's all I said, nothing before, nothing after. It was just part of the conversation. I was really just trying to point out that what you posted was irrelevant. Nothing more, nothing less. But it's the interwebz and everything comes off differently.

They play the game on the field, not by a + or - formula of players lost and acquired.
What reality are you living in? How exactly have the Pats improved themselves? Chad Johnson & Fat Albert? good luck with those guys.
But what I posted wasn't irrelevant to the discussion at all. So, were you struggling with reading comprehension, or lying?
so...you're a bullsh!t artist....that's fine...you'll fit right in
If the Pats haven't improved themselves, then neither have the Jets. It's silly to say the Pats haven't improved themselves. Here is how they clearly have (without discussing the rookies which they are an unknown):
1.) Leigh Bodden returns and is an upgrade at CB. Better than anyone starting last year.
2.) Andre Carter is an upgrade over Tully Banta-Cain.
3.) Chad OchoCinco is an upgrade over Brandon Tate as the #3 WR
4.) Shaun Ellis is an upgrade over Brandon Deadrick (who is likely the odd man out at that position).
5.) If Haynesworth wants to try, he is a big upgrade.
Yes, Haynesworth is a big question mark, but so is Plaxico Burress. Yes, Burress had a good PRESEASON GAME vs. the Bungles which many Jets fans have turned into proof that he is still an elite WR even though he has missed extensive camp time with injuries. To say Burress is an upgrade over Edwards at this point at age 34, missing over two seasons, and his last season in the NFL being average at best is definitely premature. Derrick Mason has to be a question mark since he is in his late 30s.
I think it is funny that Jets fans think Ochocinco is this huge gamble when he had 831 yards and 4 TDs with Carson Palmer throwing to him on a horrible team yet they think Plaxico is going to come in at age 34 and 2 1/3 years off and become the 2007 Plaxico Burress overnight. The 2008 Plaxico Burress wasn't remotely that good.
I prefer the term: Standup Philosopher. I coalesce the vapors of human experience into a viable and meaningful comprehension.
