God, I'm glad that football is coming back. There is going to be a lot of activity over the next couple of weeks.

Instead of starting a thread about every NFL player who gets signed or cut and FA staus changes. Why don't we just have one thread to discuss and post NFL FA changes. Patriots changes are certainly worth there own thread.

Here is a FA tracker that I know I'll be checking a couple of times a day or more.

It should be updated just like the draft tracker during the draft.

So, what do you guys & gals think? One thread for NFL player movement?

I don't know if it's feasible to get all the forum members to limit it to just one thread, but I definitely do like the idea of not starting a new thread for every free agent that happens to make the news ticker.

I think we have plenty of threads already going strong:

1. http://www.patsfans.com/new-england...0/777728-reported-patriots-udfa-signings.html is strictly for UDFA that the Patriots have reportedly signed

2. http://www.patsfans.com/new-england.../10/777561-undrafted-free-agent-signings.html is for UDFA signed by any of the 32 NFL teams

3. And since there is so much fascination with #85, there is the 159-comment and still going strong http://www.patsfans.com/new-england-patriots/messageboard/10/757800-chad-johnson.html

4. http://www.patsfans.com/new-england...011-nfl-free-agency-lets-sign-guy-thread.html for all the other free agency comments that don't belong in one of the first three threads

Why don't we try to limit the free agency discussion to one of these four threads.

Just to make it clearer. Going forward, as players are signed or released and are not Patriots related try to use one thread.

There should be many transactions and item of information Patriots related that over the next couple of weeks. There will no doubt be threads for each and every one of them, maybe 2 or 3.

That tracker link can be a useful informational tool so why not have discussions as things change with the non-Patriot players?

I'm not sure that one thread will be sufficient, because may be too much going on. Perhaps one thread at a time, with additional threads being added by mods (daily, a couple times of day, etc... depending upon how unwieldy the threads get) would be better. Time will tell I'm sure. Now, on to a report:

Hearing from source #seahawks have come to terms with QB Tarvares Jackson. Flying to Seattle tonight
