Obviously, I'll have to update that to 9-10.

Yeah, good thing Tom Brady is 9-0 right?

Oh wait, we need to update that one too. 5-5 since 2004 including 3 straight losses. Tom Brady indeed.

5-5 is STILL better than 9-10.

Manning is a dome QB who cant play in bad weather, or he'll throw his teammates under the bus..actually he does that after every playoff loss. Seeing him do it in 2004 was the best. Imagine if the Pats invested the same amount of $ into offensive weapons.

Well, the Pats had one of if not the greatest offenses in NFL history in 2007....just imagine what happened.

Brady finally gets offensive weapons, something Manning has always had...and shatters who's records?

Manning is a playoff choker, that's his legacy.

Well, the Pats had one of if not the greatest offenses in NFL history in 2007....just imagine what happened.

Brady got hurt, Faulk got hurt, Neal got hurt, the TEs all got hurt, and the Patriots lost, after taking a late lead, by the grace of a non-call on holding against Seymour, a slow whistle on an "in the grasp" call, a helmet catch by a guy who's done pretty much nothing else in his career, a catch by Burress against a CB with a torn groin, and a pass from Brady to Moss on the final drive that was about 4 inches from being complete. All that combined to give the Giants the biggest upset win in NFL history.

Manning, meanwhile, threw a pick 6 against the Saints to cost his team the game.

"Shatters" lol? Yeah, if by throwing one more TD in about 2 games more worth of attempts is "shattering".

Also Manning had a higher rating than Brady.

But heck, you're a Pats fan, so "shattered" it is.

Patriots faced a far tougher schedule, and didn't play in a little dome with fake noise injected into it. Brady gets a taste of some talent on his side of the ball and destroys everybody, trashes.

exactly, brady put his team in a position to win all 4 super bowls he played in. manning didn't play well in either super bowl he was in.

Aww heck, you're a Colt fan...so say whatever you want...it's OK..basically we just feel sorry for you...I mean, you ARE a Colt fan...and, if you happen to LIVE out there in cowpie and 500 pound Penelope Porker land, I'm sure the members here will dig in their pockets and get you a 50 dollar gift card to Wal-Mart.

Why is A-Roid presenting pink forehead freak?

Why is A-Roid presenting pink forehead freak?

i'd rather have him present Manning than present brady. that would have almost tainted the whole brady being number 1 thing.

the funny thing

is that if you're a huge douche

you will probably still be arguing this same argument in 20 years

while the rest of us will be enjoying the fact that we got to witness two of the greatest players of all time, regardless of placement on a meaningless top 10 list

as good or bad as any single player is, with the incredible number of factors that affect their career spent playing this incredibly teammate-reliant oriented game, the minutiae some of you are arguing about can be summed it one word: meaningless

im a pats fan until i die, but i appreciate peyton because he plays differently than tom, yet is just as incredible. if you dont look forward to watching him play just as much as tom, you're not a football fan.

I guess I'm not a football fan, thanks for enlightening me.

I cannot FATHOM being so bitter, and yet so desperate for attention, that I'd invest a MINUTE of my day, much less an entire evening, picking fights with InterNet Strangers who root for an enemy team!!

Only a complete and utter CHUMP would suggest that General Tom Brady hasn't long since EUTHANIZED the ludicrous notion that Manning is his equal.

I pray to GOD that I never sink into such an ABYSS of pathetic loneliness, that I actually SEEK OUT InterNet Strangers who root for an enemy team, and pick fights with them.

I guess ~ for SOME folks ~ ANY attention is GOOD attention...HUH??

And I suppose that, if I rooted for Peyton Manning and the Indianapolis Marty SchottenHeimers...I'D be bitter, TOO. :)

solely based on watching peyton and brady play my chargers

no question....brady's MUCH better in that regard

i've never seen brady go full on ****** like peyton does a few times per year

Nice Tropic Thunder reference!

The Pats haven't won crap in years....and suddenly MVPS and regular season records mean something to Pats fans. Remember when Manning won his MVPs and all you Pats fans were saying they didn't mean crap? I do.

Our laurels still rest on the Super Bowl victories, with these MVP awards, All Pro selections and regular season accolades providing a pathetic consolation prize. But yeah, I crapped on the meaningless accolades because it all means nothing if you aren't holding the trophy. At the same time, at least now, players like Brady have proven themselves able to win big games, as well as putting up elite numbers.

To me Brady is the GOAT, but that is due to being a Pats fan!

While I hate Manning, I appreciate how good he is! And my main reason for disliking him is that very reason!

The arguement will never be settled, which in a way shows one thing, neither player will ever be forgotten!

Both players are HoFers and will go down as the 2 of the best to ever play the sport, and have both made huge impacts on the game!

Even though Brady's path to greatness is far more impressive!

And does anyone think either of these care which of them is #1 or #2???

I think at this point in their careers no Colts fan would ever trade Manning for Brady and vice versa. The debate was more interesting when Manning was the numbers guy and Brady was the winning guy yet now Brady has the numbers and Manning has won the big one. Really you're picking knits.
