Thanks JFK.
I like it Merry when he hits
Branch if only we had signed longterm:bricks:
Easily the most maligned Patriot Pro Bowler EVER. At least that I can think of.
Terry Glenn says hi.
Think about the players that we WOULDN'T have had on the team if we had signed him to, what was then, a vastly overpaid long term contract.
Please every decision to sign or not sign a player has ripples that permeate the team. None of them are ever done in a vacuum.
Another misunderstood mega talent Bill clearly didn't not want because he didn't cut him, he merely traded him because wanted two 4th round picks for a first round talent more. :bricks:
But the biggest lingering memory everyone will have of Glenn will be that astonishing interview on WBZ-TV's Sports Final last November. On that show, Bob Lobel and Steve Burton grilled Glenn for about 15 minutes. Glenn completely trashed any semblance of good feelings towards him when he suggested that his hamstring injury was "nagging" because the Patriots still owed him part of his signing bonus (which they were withholding pending league hearings on failed drug tests). His "you do the math" remark will be embedded clearly in the minds of every Patriot fan that comes to Gillette Stadium on Sunday to watch Glenn's return to Foxborough as a Packer.
Let's not forget the 1st round pick we were robbed of by Goodell that year too.
That was the season after!
We had our pick and Seahawks pick, then we drafted BM and traded our pick to SF, which turned into Mayo. The Mayo year was the year we had the 1st taken from us!

It rankles even more that Goodell did not even slap the hand of his precious JETs for a plain and obvious disregard of the Rules; and poor Sportsmanship, in the pre-planned and premeditated "Trip the Gunner" routine.
Goodell's precious Jets should have also lost a Draft Pick for that baloney!
