So when you diss Kraft, it is without any knowledge of Sullivan.

When you diss Belichick, it is without any knowledge of Rust.

So basically you are saying that just because someone else was worse, it makes any bad decisions made by the current management completely acceptable? And we should never question them because, you know, at least they aren't Rust or Sullivan, right? Am I interpreting that correctly?

Here is a tip: when Teenuh comes into a thread and starts totally derailing it just ignore her. In fact there is a button which lets you do that automatically! Don't bother arguing with her, as her default to any point is to throw out a red herring or strawman.

Show me a strawman argument I used, other than the intentional one. :D I can give you about 50 examples of other people using them.

How can someone be classless just for defending their opinion. I don't think Teenuh's stepped over the line with name calling, and she's kept her calm despite some personal attacks.

Hey there, your nose is looking a little brown.

I haven't seen anything beyond the pale, and as far as I'm concerned there's nothing wrong with calling a spade a spade.

What I am basically saying is that Bill Belichick is not the only the best coach the Patriots have ever had, he is one of the greatest sport coaches of all time. Kraft is not only the best owner the Patriots have ever had he is one of the best sports owners ever. Yet they are all you know. You have no basis for comparison. If they are not absolutely perfect in everything they do they they are incompetent.

No, questioning them is fine. However, as a Patriots fans we are privileged enough to have an owner who have taken us to four superbowls in the last 10 years 3 of which we have won. That means you should cut him some slack.

To make a determination before seeing what happens the rest of the season, would be foolish. Hypothetically if the Patriots won the rest of there games would you still consider it a bad trade? It is unfair to kill ownership for a trade that has yet to produce any results (positive or negative). You don't answer a question on a test until reading it throughout. Similarly you can't form a complete opinion until you see how the Patriots perform without Moss, especially when the team has had so much success in the past with similar moves (Milloy for example).

Technically, the main reason that happened is because we got lucky with a certain 5th round draft pick and I was told Kraft doesn't have any influence over football decisions. :D Without Tom none of those would have happened.

Well, first of all, thank you for making a reasonable argument. Its a nice change from the other posts.....

If we win the rest our games and do well in the playoffs, then I'll be the first to admit that I was wrong about my assessment of the trade and I will officially hail Bill as a genius even though I still wouldn't like the trade much. But I'm certain that if we fail miserably, the other people won't do the same. I'm sure they will just respond by saying, "give it time, we'll be better next year."

If you look at what Moss does for our offense even when he's not getting TDs, I don't see how anyone can possibly think this trade will have a positive effect on our offense.

I'll agree that Bill is one of the best of all time but like I said, even the best make mistakes. I never said it meant he was incompetent, except possibly when I first heard about the trade and was raging like many other pats fans at the time.

If they are not absolutely perfect in everything they do they they are incompetent.

So kind of like how fans on here treated Moss for the past 4 years then?

Brady was a SIXTH round draft pick....just a FYI

5th, 6th, 7th, you get the point. Things like that happen rarely. In fact, i don't know of another draft pick from the later rounds who has had nearly as much success as Tom.

You could at least know what round the HOF QB for your team was traded in. Maybe you're more informed about Favre and Tevaris lol

Troy Brown....NEXT!!!!!

Troy Brown won 3 Super Bowls as well. Care to guess what round he was drafted in?

Im talking about comments she has made about the owner and the management being cheap and senile. Especially the Bob Kraft appreciation thread. Many of us remember the bad old days before he bought the team, and for her to go on a that thread and call the owner Cheap and senile is totally class less. I wonder if she wasn't so hot looking in her picture if you guys would be sticking up for her? I kinda doubt it.

I was gonna say, I don't remember her using the word senile. Still being critical, doesn't mean someone is classless. She's not name-calling, or even worse wishing premature death on someone who simply writes an opinion they disagree with.

And who gives a crap about her appearance. I'm not expecting a BJ out of this. I'll support her because it's like 100 against 1, and everyone is upset simply because of an opinion that is critical of the Patriots front office and Belichick's decision-making. People need to get a grip. It's sports and people who follow sports have the right to criticize if they want.

I do know what round he was drafted in and I have posted it in threads before on here. As I said, everyone makes mistakes. It was a mental error on my part.

Troy Brown's success was mostly a result of having Brady throw the ball to him. You have to admit, if Troy would have been on another team, he wouldn't have done much. He was never really a Jerry Rice, Marvin Harrison, Randy Moss type of WR.

It was a mental error on my part.

that's the exact same thing my father told the doctor when I was born..:(

This is exactly the opposite of how you should analyze whether a DECISION was correct. Hindsight only offers whether a decision -turned out- to be OK.

If I sell my house with nowhere to live and spend it all on lottery tickets, that's a terrible decision, regardless if I end up with 10x as much or nothing.

That being said, we'll never have enough information to determine whether this decision was definitively correct or not at the time it was made, but all we can do is hope that it works out for the Patriots.
