you know that randy moss was an insane david tyree catch away from being the biggest part of a perfect season that would have meant the best football team in the history of the game.

or so whats his name said to felger on 98.5

who cares ..... as the grateful dead sang 'he's gone and nothing gonna bring him back'

I sometime think Felger is sorta like Rush Limbaugh. I'm not sure if he's really that way in real life but on the radio he basically spew stuff with his mouth for effects...

They will be fortunate if they can make the playoffs with that swiss cheese defense.
I'm fully aware that the defense is not nearly what it was 5-6 years ago, i think it will jell by the end of the year. I didn't really see this a SB year for us even if moss was still here.

There are a lot of people here that keep ignoring the fact that moss would destroy this team by his behavior if he wasn't moved

Felger is a moron.

Count me in as someone that think this move had to be done. Loved Randy's talents....but never in love with what it did to the Pats....and that's the truth.

All that said, Felger is still a moron and anyone with eyeballs understands that with the defense of the Pats a AFCCG is a pipe dream - like a hash pipe kind of dream.

I'll give credit to Felger for not trying to take both sides. He didn't think Moss was an asset, so the Patriots are better off without him. Al least he's consistent.

By contrast, consider the despicable Mr. Borges, who was against acquiring Moss and against trading him. (Same with Seymour.)

I'm with you on this one Flex!

Time to move on.

It seems to me Felger is simply a businessman, trying to bolster ratings. His method of achieving that goal is to create debate; he does that by being controversial. His business plan is to simply take the opposite side of what the masses think, to disagree with the majority.

I don't listen to him but from what I have read about him it's as simple as that. It's the most basic sports talk radio formula being used across the country today to generate ratings. It wouldn't surprise me in the least if he (or many others) don't believe half of what they say on the air.

Is a lot of the Felger dislike from radio/tv? I'm in NY, so don't see that, but always thought he wrote pretty well about the Pats.

Further on the media thing, don't know if it's syndicated, but espn radio this morning in ny had two guys (brandon tierney and jody something, I think), with one of them saying how hard it would be for the Pats to finish .500. Was acting incredulous the other guy would envision 10 wins.

Point being, Felger's pov sounds closer to me than those bozos.

Felger just disagrees with popular opinion, the fans in general don't like this move so of course, Felger like it.

Felger has been saying to get rid of Moss for years now. So at least he is consistent.

This is the first time I ever have wanted Felger to be right about anything, and yet his perfect record of being always wrong about everything is likely to stay intact.

Another media thing--was listening to Chris Russo before, and he had on some guy from the Herald...didn't want to wait till the end to hear who it was, could anyone tell me?

He was saying Belichick essentially lost the locker room w/the Seymour trade, guys weren't listening to him anymore because Wilfork was playing some DE, and this would be more of the same. In other words, as far as I know, making stuff up.

Since everyone here insists that Felger only spews garbage ...

Oh wait, now everyone agrees with him.
No, he's still full of it.

Experts are predicting a Patriots AFCCG? Sweet!

Wait, who said that?

Says they are now more resilent and makes Brady sharper. Considering hes usually down on the Pats its interesting.

Felger deserves a terminal disease.

I stopped listening to what Felger had to say years ago. im not going to start now just because he says something thats positive now.

This would have been clever and/or witty if there were actually posts prior to it where people were, in fact, agreeing with him. Since that is not the case, this post was/is a slight FAIL.

Felger and Dakota on Moss; this is a bad sign

Both Felger and Dakota think that the Moss trade will be good for the Patriots offense! This can mean only one thing; the trade will be a disaster for the Patriots. It will be like Minnesota's trade for Herschel Walker. It will be like the opposite of the Patriots trade for Corey Dillion. If I was a betting man I would have made a fortune betting against Felger's predictions. The Vikings must be wondering about the Patriot's sanity.

Listening to Felger's idiotic rant about how the Patriots were better off without Moss and how they will be better off going back to their 2001 offense made me want to pull my hair out. How could be be so stupid?

The bad thing is that the loss of Moss will effect the offense in subtle ways (unlike the loss of Manny's production with the Sox); the safeties will creep up on the line and short play and runs that used to work will no longer.

Why they let that moronic douche bag clown dakota talk so much i don't understand, its not like people tune in to hear him.

i, like im sure most of you have, have often wondered if we were better off without moss. i feel like brady's best attribute is his ability to make quick reads and find the open man. sometimes over the last few years, i feel like he has been forced to look towards moss and didnt survey the whole field. i think that moss is a phenomenal player, but maybe its not the end of the world.

we will have to pass less, which is going to take away other teams ability to play the pass 90% of the time and get big time rushes on brady. this may be the best thing for bradys long term health
