Why? Would the public, those that are not Patriot fans, and who have not followed them during training camp and pre season know better than the fans that have? I think not?

8. The team is good enough to win a tough AFC East but is probably lacking the playmakers on D to make it past the second round of the playoffs.

Indy won the superbowl a couple years back with one of the worst defenses in the NFL.

poor example given the colts defense was fixed in time for the playoffs

Or they had a couple good games.

however you would like to look at it, but they they had their best 4 games versus the run in the playoffs and SB. they didn't keep a team under 100 yards until the playoffs and succeeded in doing so 3 of 4 games.
