On a serious note, whenever Brady becomes Brady then is when we'll be the best team we can be.
I fail to notice Adalius Thomas and Patrick Burgess presence from game to game.
We miss Asante/a DB that jumps routes/gets picks.

I agree that it is what it is. Brady is not what he was before his injury. Hopefully that changes after the bye.

The defense held Denver to 17 and posters want to fire Pees and blame the defense!

I'd like to know one thing, how can someone be called for taunting BEFORE he started taunting the player? We all saw it on the replay, the ref threw the flag before Merriweather started walking towards the Broncos player (I forgot who it was it pissed me off so bad).

Our offense is struggling from the loss of Josh McDaniels. We lost a year when we lost Charlie Weis. I think it's going to be to the wire every game all season long unfortunately. I still think we go at least 10-6 but it will be a tight 10-6. Hopefully by December our offense has reached at least another 1/2 gear.

They were 6/14 on third down, and the Pats were "only" 5/14.

It seemed like more to me. Regardless Orton had all day to throw the ball and the pats could not stop the short passing game. The defense was completely confused out there today.

LOL. I was thinking the same thing. Always call heads. I'm ready to throw Vince under the bus? Will he fit? That was a sweet swan dive after he tackles Moreno on 3rd and one though.

Man - this thread is turning ugly.

They made some bad plays and bad decisions. Anyway you want to look at it, Denver made some key plays at the right time, and Josh coached a good game. Before we start calling for people's heads, let's just be realistic and take it for what it is. It's one loss in a 16 game schedule. The world was coming to an end after the Jets loss, and two wins later life was good. Let's maintain some perspective.

Kyle Orton had all day. I understand they have a decent Oline but we have NO pass rush.

Gostkowski choked when we needed it-fruitcake!

Horrible calls and non-calls by the ref's and booth.

The Broncos are NOT a 5-0 team-what a scam. They'll fade out in the season-scumbags.

Brady's throws sucked. Orton looked more like Tom Brady. Brady needs to practice wind sprints and his slide when he has 10 yds to run. Maybe once or twice a game.

Merriweather missed some key tackles today that were weak. and the taunting call in the end was b.s. The flag was thrown before the supposed taunting. That ref was a momo.

Random thoughts...

Brady missing Moss in the end zone was big at the time, huge at the end.

Not sure what the call was for on Meriweather. I think the official wanted to call hitting a defenseless receiver or leading with the head, then realized that it wasn't the right call and had to come up with something.

Springs had a real shot at a pick on the last throw to the end zone.

AD looks slow coming on blitzes.

I hope Light isn't hurt too badly though it didn't look good. Volmer seemed to play adequately at first look.

Can't blame Brady on that fumble. He had no time and the rush just got there and knocked the ball out. He never saw the defender coming from his blindside.

Edelman seems to be progressing nicely.

I would like to have seen Maroney more involved in the passing game.

I know I saw Sam Aiken out there but did he do anything?

Hanson punted pretty well.

I'm stunned that the defense gave up two td drives of at least 90 yards.

That ref was calling a pass interference. (the flag would have been picked up because the pass was tipped) The other flag came from a different ref.

Regardless Merriweather is a ******. That place was an absolute killer.
