Really? Is Trevor not a common name in the U.S.? I think of it here as Welsh or Cornish (although I knew a Jewish Trevor and Sir Trevor MacDonald is an originally West Indian broadcaster) and I thought you had plenty of Celts over there! Still, we'll take the boy -- especially if he makes the team. (Can't let the Germans have all the glory with Basti Vollmer!) :D

Given that I got the gentleman's name wrong -- it seems to actually be Terence -- I can truthfully say that I do not recall ever meeting or hearing of an American named "Trevor".

Actually, I can't think of any American's generally called "Terence" either, but there are still a few male Terry's kicking around, to go with the larger number of female Terry's, Teri's, and so on, and some of those are probably Terence's in disguise.

TO Crying Again About How _____________ Screwed Up.

T.O. after week 1.

This isn't about Trent. You guys can point the finger at him, you can talk about the lousy coaching. And if you do that, it's really unfair. It's really unfair. :cry2: That's my teammate. :cry2: That's my quarterback. :cry2: And if you guys do that, man, it's unfair. We lost as a team. We lost as a team man. :cry2:

This loss hurts, this loss hurts. Because I know this team's dedicated. They put in alot of hard work to get where we are. We didn't execute. And we knew in order to win this game, we had to put some points on the board and we didn't do that.

Actually, that's a classy mistake to make -- Trevor Nunn (that's "Sir Trevor Nunn"!) is a theatre director: former Artistic Director of both the Royal Shakespeare Company and the National Theatre. :D

Thanks!

I knew Trevor Nunn was a theatre name -- like the spelling of that word? :) -- but couldn't get past question of whether he did or didn't have some association w/ Andrew Lloyd Webber ...

“Darius is a smart kid,” coach Bill Belichick said. “He works hard. He’s got good talent. He’s fast. He’s quick. He picks up coaching points quickly. You tell him something and he understands it.

“I think he has a good feel for concepts and for the passing game — where receivers are, what’s threatening, what’s dangerous and what isn’t. He’s coming along. He’s made a lot of progress, but he’s got a long way to go.”

Come to think of it, in my wife's most heralded -- and best :) -- novel, Fires of Destiny, the hero is named Roger Trevor.

The worked on that book and lived with that character for something like 25 years, from conception to submitting the final manuscript. He is surely one of the great loves of her life ... possibly even ahead of me. ;)

If the link works, Dangerous Men & Adventurous Women: Romance Writers on the Appeal of the Romance briefly shows why ... :)

He was asked about the demise of the Arena League and his answer was classic.

"Right now, my thoughts are really on our football team, training camp, getting ready for the season [and] the Philadelphia Eagles," he said. "I'm not really into solving the world's problems and all that. I'm just trying to coach our football team."

Bravo Bill! Bravo!

With the Jets having claimed the training camp Lombardi Trophy, and recording a 4-12 09 regular season record, Jets team officals predict another TC Superbowl victory in 2010.
