At this risk of someone really getting pissed off.....So Brady gets back from Mexico then has a setback. I love Brady he is my favorite player but if he wants to play next year or ever maybe he should stay in Boston.

You really have a hard time with the english language? I attack people for my opinions? No. I slam people who post ignorant comments, lies, and major exaggerations. Particularly when there is proof that what they said is garbage.

Act like a cry baby? Hardly.

As Deus Irae pointed out, you don't know a damn thing about me or my athletic ability or experiences. Instead of being making those stupid comments, why don't you man up and keep it focused on the subject? Or are you just an internet bully who has to resort to things that go beyond one's intelligence or lack there of?

I am the internet bully wow that's a far cry. You have bullied your way time and time again. that there are not enough posts to start.

Mike Francessa is the biggest blowhard on radio right now.. He is wrong on alot of fronts.. I would take this with the biggest grain of salt you can find.. Its not worht getting upset over..

no, the pats arent going to trade their proven backup quarterback if they think brady will not be ready to go. Luckily for us, Brady will be just fine.
Thanks for clearing that up - you don't know what the Patriots would do, neither do I, and yet you state your OPINION as FACT.

Common now you think Brady is going to stay put in Boston for another 6 months. He has a life and I am sure he is doing what is needed to get ready for 2009.

There's also that whole "Doctor's in California, not Boston" thing....

So, in other words you lack reading comprehension and so you can't be bothered to stay focused on the subject of the thread. You've go to take it beyond the realm of what is said and take shots at people about things that you know nothing about. At least I keep it in the realm of what posts show. I don't go over into taking shots at what people look like, their sexuality, their religious convictions or anything else of the sort. That's what internet bullies do.

I don't bully people. I don't threaten them with physical violence of any sort. I may call someone a LIAR when its clear they have lied. I'll call someone stupid or idiot or moron if they continuously make stupid, idiotic or moronic comments. But that's as far as I take it.

Oh yea I forgot about the whole surgery on the west coast but I am sure Tom is taking his time on the stairs at the airport. The only setback Tom Brady would have is if his gorgeous girl made him sleep on the couch tonight:D:D.

I was kidding .....I know for a fact everything said about Brady is true.

here is exactly what i said. this is from my original post

I said it a few weeks ago and got ripped apart, but if this is true, it is obvious Cassel will be on our roster.

No, that's the whole point. Clearly you have no idea what the word setback means, which is exactly what DaBruinz's point was. I can think of many potential setbacks that would not keep him from being ready for the season. That's why your commentary following the initial report is pure conjecture that you're presenting as ironclad fact, and THAT is why you're getting ripped apart.

Sorry, but when a person doesn't get banned for calling someone a NAZI (which happened recently) then its clear nothing that has been said here in this thread falls into the bannable categories.

So, you might want to take it up with Ian.

I don't have to take it up with Ian. He has set up a system that the moderators can use if they need to. I would prefer not to use it as much as I have.
I have no idea about the NAZI thing, but I'm sure the mod that handled it didn't let it go without taking some action.

Now, I have said the last public thing I'm going to.

It's not that its fact. Its simple logic. If your starter isnt healthy and you have a proven stud backup, you keep him.

First of all, there has been no confirmation that Brady actually had a setback. Secondly, because of the first, how can you make the statement that "If he wants to play next year or ever maybe he should just stay in Boston."

People need to keep some things in mind about Brady. This is things we KNOW.

1) He's highly competitive.
2) He strives to be the best, putting in long hours at home and at the stadium, watching film, working out, and practicing.

With those things in mind, what makes anyone think that Brady wouldn't put the same effort into his rehab that he puts into his other football activities?

For people who don't know, rehab isn't just about going to a therapist and being put through some supervised exercises. There are exercises that one has to do at home as well. I am of the opinion that Brady makes it a point to do the exercises that he's supposed to do at home. Because its in his nature.

Unless he cost 14.5 million, you drafted a QB in the third round, you want to cripple yourself in FA and turning a 7th rounder into possibly two first rounders......Logic????

.....:scream:......

Thanks I feel better now:D

Well, I can tell you now that the person wasn't banned. And that is far worse than anything that I've ever said to anyone.

Again everyone is getting bent out of shape because of Mike Francessa?? Not worried at all

so in a league where the entire History of the league indicates there is no one system where QBs have been coming in and performed at an All-Pro level, we all here at Patsfans.com agree that we should trade Matt Cassel because Brady might be healthy enough to play and we have Kevin O'Connell or could sign Jeff Garcia? I just dont feel that confident. Additionally, rookies tend to come in this league and not perform at such high levels. Jerod Mayo is the exception, not the norm. so, with draft picks we all think we can resolidify our defense next year? and, we all think that next year the same type of offer will not be on the table ?

WTF are you even talking about? In the entire history of the league, there is no system where QBs have come in and performed at an all-pro level? First off, you're wrong. Matt Ryan and Joe Flacco came in and performed very well as rookies. Drew Brees did great his first year in NO. Bretty Favre technically had a Pro Bowl year in his first season with the Jets. Chad Pennington had a stellar year in his first year with the Dolphins. I could go on and on.

There are plenty of instances of both veteran and rookie QBs coming in and performing at a very high level, and these guys don't have the benefit of Moss, Welker, and a highly talented running game.

BTW, Cassel's performance was not All-Pro this season either; not by a long shot. He had a good season, and happened to have it against some of the worst pass defenses in the league. I've posted his TD/INT ratios against crappy pass defenses (17/3) and against strong competitors (0/4) plenty of times now, and that tells the story. He's a good, young player who will continue to get better, but let's not get ahead of ourselves and declare him an All-Pro yet, let alone a franchise QB.

That said, none of this even matters, because all indications, aside from one completely uncorroborated radio blurb, indicate that Brady's recovery is going fine, and even if there has been a setback, he still likely has plenty of time to be ready for the season.

Except its not that simple. And the Pats don't "have" Cassel. He's a free agent. And the Pats aren't going to tie up 14.65 million to keep Cassel. That's just not feasible when the Pats already have Brady tied up for that much.

The Pats may bring in a vet QB like Garcia or Simms in case Brady isn't healthy, but its not in their best interest to tie up 29.6 million or however much it is by keeping both Cassel and Brady on the roster.

I'm not going to worry about anything regarding Tom. I wouldn't even believe a report if they showed us a picture of tom without his leg ;)
