Patriots Fan Forum

That's the name of the main forum, not "Just Patriots stuff, even if it's made up". I find it amusing to read people acting as if posting something that's not directly associated with the Patriots when it's a slow period is going to bring on the apocalypse. There are threads on the first page of the main board that haven't had a comment put in them in over 24 hours. The world won't end if they get pushed to page 2 because people want to talk about "Pistol Marv" Harrison.

The NFL Football Forum was created by Ian a few months ago for threads like these. If you have a problem with that forum's existence, then talk to Ian.

On the surface it seems like a good idea to lay off, but if you do that, then people won't know what to do/where to post during the regular season. If there's a rule, enforce it all the time, not just some of the time, otherwise it's not much of a rule at all. Plus, if it wasn't enforced at all then it would take forever to sift through all the crap/non-Patriots related threads. Logging on just now, I saw that several threads were moved. I think once a thread is moved it shouldn't show up in that thread any longer... or if there was someway to just move it to the bottom of the page even, but oh well... Just my two cents

Great, then let's have a thread in the main forum about what the whether is like where all Patriots' fan live.

I've had discussions with Ian in threads in the past about excessive forum segregation. Obviously to little avail.

He's just lucky there really are no other legit MB options now that KFFL is so dead.

The real problem though, IMO, isn't the threads or separate forums: it's that moderators get the power to move threads and it suddenly turns into the Stanford Prison Experiment around here ...

Why?

Are you afraid Other posters might enjoy what the original poster posted?

Seriously, why is it important?

Obviously there will be judgement calls for the Moderators. Not being a Moderator, let me say that it's their work of keeping the board clear which makes this board great. There are other boards, which shall remain nameless, which are so overrun with non Patriots' stuff that they're unreadable to me.
