Some good news on Christian Gonzalez yesterday.  NFL reporter Jordan Schultz reported on Tuesday that the leg injury suffered by the third-year defensive back that forced him out of practice Monday apparently isn’t severe.

Notes from the New England Patriots sixth practice so far during this 2025 Patriots training camp.

One of the things new head coach Mike Vrabel preached since arriving in New England has been an emphasis on relationships between his players. He’s put an emphasis on guys getting to know each other.  Both on and off the field.

Heading into the 2025 Patriots season, the team can ill-afford to be without any of its top players on either side of the football. Fortunately, one report on Tuesday seemingly has them hopefully seeing one of their injured players when they do take the field in Week one against the Raiders.

The Patriots suffered their first injury scare of the preseason on Monday, with defensive back Christian Gonzalez going down midway through the session.

This is the 1st day in full pads with full contact for the New England Patriots.

Every year, we tend to see a surprise name end up on the roster in September, and one name seems to be making a push to be that player for the Patriots.

This morning will kick off the first padded practice for the team, which comes on the heels of a walkthrough on Friday and a little more intense of a session on Saturday.

Day 4 of the 2025 New England Patriots Training Camp was another 90-minute practice.  This was the last mandated conditioning practice and was conducted in helmets, shorts and shells.

Day Three of Training Camp brought a relaxed walkthrough practice.  The only players with helmets on were the QBs because of the play-calling communication system.   Many of the players wore bucket hats. 

During his playing days, Mike Vrabel is remembered as a talented, fiery player who was a terrific teammate and did all the right things during his Patriots career. Maybe that’s why he has such an affinity for defensive end, Keion White.

Head coach Mike Vrabel has mentioned repeatedly that the New England Patriots will always be looking to improve their football team, and they have no issue exploring options for guys who might be available. Based on Vrabel’s comments Friday, it sounds like one recent name that became available might fall into that category.

Second-year wide receiver Ja’Lynn Polk was again not part of the action for the New England Patriots on Friday, which, given the spirit of the session, was certainly puzzling.

Practice was in shorts and shells and lasted exactly 90 minutes (in accordance with the CBA).

Wednesday was the start of New England Patriots training camp, and here is a quick rundown of a few things we learned after the first session.

Day one of Training Camp is in the books.  The team started practice by bringing out newly adopted dogs to their new owners.  The Players brought the pets out to the families.  It was a cute gesture the Patriots had with three shelters bringing dogs for adoption.

Diggs spoke about building trust with Maye. “He’s a young quarterback. I believe in him. he’s gonna have a lot of success in this league.”
