Happy Hump Day from your 1st place New England Patriots.  Yes, it is a technicality, but the Patriots hold the tiebreaker in the AFC East because they beat Buffalo.  Both teams are 4-2 at this early point of the season.

Some random takeaways from Week 6 in the NFL after a some crazy finishes.

The Patriots find themselves on top of the division after the Bills followed up their loss to New England with a back-to-back loss against the Falcons.

We’ll have to clean a lot of things, but certainly good to get on the road and be able to get a win,” Mike Vrabel said.

The Patriots overcame Saints and the game Officials of Adrian Hills crew. 

Drake Maye was outstanding on Sunday, finishing Sunday’s game 18-of-26 for 261 yards and three touchdowns in a 25-19 win down in New Orleans.

We’ll have to understand the difference between [Juwan Johnson] and when Taysom [Hill]’s in the game or [Foster] Moreau. 

It comes down to get it out on time and making sure the football is in the right spot for them to catch and run or catch and make a play.

Coming into the Off-Season workouts, things had such a different feel compared to where the Saints were at this time last year.

Stefon Diggs handled his return to Buffalo with class.  He was very gracious toward the fans and the Buffalo organization. 

Maye went 13-14 for 184 yards in the second half. In the pivotal fourth quarter Maye was 6-6 for 90 yards against the blitzing Bills

With the Patriots currently in the middle of trying to navigate Rhamondre Stevenson’s fumble issues, the last thing they needed was to lose one of their other starters to an injury. Unfortunately, it sounds like that’s what happened to Antonio Gibson on Sunday night.

Maye was 13-14 for 189 yards in the 2nd half. The fourth quarter? Maye was 6-6 for 90 yards. That is the kind of stuff you look for

The win over the Bills in Orchard Park was significant, ending the Bills 15-game home streak and highlighting Drake Maye’s arrival in the NFL.  This was a statement win at a legitimate Super Bowl contender.

And rather than test the secondary, the best chance they have is to attack the Bills’ linebackers in coverage. 

The New England Patriots and the Buffalo Bills are set to face off in a Sunday Night National TV clash. The Bills enter the contest 4-0, while the Pats are just .500 at 2-2.

It was great to write so positively after a Patriots game. However, keep in mind who they were playing against.  This Sunday Night they are playing a real and legitimate contender to reach the Super Bowl.

The offense resembled a well-oiled machine with six different players scoring touchdowns and the team getting chunk plays from everyone.

Marcus Jones returned the punt 87 yards for a touchdown and did so with a sea of blue jerseys with him as he went into the end zone.

In what could be considered a must-win game, the Patriots blew out the Carolina Panthers 42-13.  I don’t know how the Panthers shut out the Falcons last week.  I think all the stars had to align for that to happen. They were awful.  Bryce Young is one of the worst QBs in the league. 

“Throughout my career, I’ve lined up in the slot a lot…I’ve played in the slot a lot. I’m not uncomfortable anywhere,” Diggs said

This feels like another Hunter Henry/Austin Hooper, type of game. I look for Stefon Diggs to get more looks, possibly from the slot

The Carolina Panthers are a team you know nothing about.  The average fan can’t name 5 players in their starting lineup. 

Accountability was a keyword from Mike Vrabel before Training Camp started.  I haven’t seen it. 

Sunday obviously saw too much fumbling by Rhamondre Stevenson. Both last year and this year, his trust level right now is at an all-time low.
