Patriots Commentary:

The toughest part of this situation is how much the line is blurred when it comes to how people view Belichick the coach vs Belichick the GM, and the team’s number one issue right now has more to do with the team he’s put together than anything else.

Back when the NFL schedule was first released, I predicted this would be a bad team.  I only gave them 6 wins on the season.  I was wrong, this is a very bad team.

Some thoughts following the New England Patriots loss to the Washington Commanders on Sunday.

The Patriots should be about losing. Play just well enough to compete, but just bad enough to lose.

But with Sweat (6.5 sacks) and Young (5 sacks) playing elsewhere this week, that leaves a massive void in Washington’s pass rush,

Heading into Sunday’s must-win game in Miami, the hope was that Bill Belichick could keep his team in the mix and salvage the rest of the 2023 regular season. That, obviously, didn’t happen.

The NFL Trade Deadline is Tuesday at 4:00 PM EST.  The “Witching Hour” comes on All Hallows Eve.  What will the Patriots do. Buy, Sell or Do Nothing!  Here is what I would do.

Bourne has a torn ACL. He’s been Jones’ most reliable receiver this season with 37 catches, 406 yards and four TDs. 

 Miami’s OL is banged up. With former Patriot Isaiah Wynn out, Barmore will face backup guard Lester Cotton. He should win this matchup.

With the trade deadline approaching, it’s going to be interesting to see how the New England Patriots handle things at the wide receiver position on Sunday in Miami.

What’s different between the Dolphins team we played at home in September and the one we will face Sunday.  Let’s look at the graphic for Team Rankings.  There is no question the Dolphins have the #1 Offense in the league.  We knew before the season they were going to be good, and they have delivered on that promise so far.

The Miami running game couldn’t get much going last week against Philly. Their OL is really banged up, and they were down three starters.

Looking at what happened on Sunday, it’s hard not to wonder if the Patriots are going to make some tough decisions as it pertains to two starting wide receivers.
