PHOTO: N’Keal Harry Declares He’s “Just Getting Started”, Looks To Keep Building Off Last Two Weeks

After dealing with more struggles for most of the 2020 season, New England Patriots wide receiver N’Keal Harry gained some positives this past Thursday against the Los Angeles Rams.
Despite catching just three passes on four targets for 49 yards on the stat sheet, Harry finally showed off that he can compete with defenders to catch contested passes.

When discussing his 30-yard reception, Harry explained his mindset into going up for each pass.
“Just a ball that was up in the air and I went and got it,” Harry said. “Simple as that. … I pride myself on those 50/50 balls. Whenever a ball like that is in the air, I expect myself to come down with it 10 times out of 10.”
Harry then acknowledged the importance of being more physical against defenders.
“Yeah, I’m definitely in a place I like. I’m just making sure I’m being aggressive, being physical, really using my body out there,” Harry continued. “That’s something I’m definitely going to focus on moving forward, making sure that’s a key part of my game.”
On his Instagram Thursday, Harry celebrated his 23rd birthday while also declaring that he’s “just getting started”.
Speaking with the media Thursday, Harry’s quarterback Cam Newton shared how impressed he was by Harry’s contested catch last week.
“He’s getting better. He’s growing,” Newton said. “It’s very promising to see a guy like N’Keal make a play like that. We’re going to need more of that here moving forward.”
If Harry truly is just getting started, he will be put to the test yet again this upcoming Sunday against a Miami Dolphins defense featuring a few familiar faces.
