Why isn't Bledsoe still the starting QB?

If it's really TRUE that the Pats were stealing defensive signals and breaking the rules, then why didn't Bledsoe put up these world-beating numbers during '00 and the first 2 games of '01?

And why was his play somewhat mediocre against Pitt in that first AFC Title game?
