It's easy, and only takes a few moments. And just like that, all of Walden, Hembree, and Thornburg make me eat my words about the quality of the middle relievers. Here’s hoping for a better week vs the Yank Me’s and Rays.I haven’t watched every single game, but I thought the middle/late relievers were doing alright, aside from a couple of poor individual performances. The starters have looked terrible, although Rodriguez (nice surprise to see continued progression) and Price seem to be in the front of the pack so far. Sale had that one great outing which resulted in a 0-1 loss, but there’s got to be some concern there with the decision to extend him early after two injured seasons in a row. Yikes.
I’ve never been a huge fan of Devers, but Cora is obviously fully on board with him and has continued to give him many chances. Hopefully, he grows. I’d take either a decent bat or a decent glove, but right now it just feels like he’s mediocre at both.
Benintendi is the next guy due for an extension. He’s an integral piece for the future. Great news with negative x-rays, yesterday. Hopefully, he comes back in time for two big (for April) series’ with the NYY and Tampa Bay.
Xander Boegarts has looked good to me, so far. It’s early yet, but he seems to be progressing into a better player. If that’s true, look out. Betts has gotten off to a slow(ish) start, but I don’t see any reason for concern there. Martinez picked up right where he left off. Moreland has cooled a bit the last couple of games, but was off to a nice start prior to this weekend.
I think Pedroia is done. Hope I’m wrong, but he looks like a shell of his former self, at least to me. He had that nice defensive stop the other night, so maybe I’m just being too hard on him.
Back to back weekend series’ versus Tampa Bay approaching. Taking 4/6 or at least splitting 3/6 would go a long way towards helping to keep them afloat while they ease into the season. Poor showing(s) will really put them behind the 8 ball.

Yankees + Isles series win. I bet you’re one happy New Yorker.Good start.

Paxton was lights out tonight. On the other hand, Sale continues to fade once the third inning rolls around.Eh, no interest in the Islanders. Had no idea they won.
Yanks? Ha maybe after they get back half the team that's out injured. Literally every time I look up the Yanks on ESPN, there's a new story about someone going out injured.
Boston must really be in bad shape if they lose to this group of "Yankees".
Add Workman to the list, which seems to be growing every single freaking day now.And just like that, all of Walden, Hembree, and Thornburg make me eat my words about the quality of the middle relievers. Here’s hoping for a better week vs the Yank Me’s and Rays.

Thornburg 2 hits, 2 walks, and 3 earned runs today, in one inning.Hembree—5.88 ERA since August 2018.
Hopefully, the new additions on the mound pay off.
Taking 2/3 from the Rays at Fenway this weekend would put them 4.5 back, with a record of 13-16.2-8 START
has sale won a game yet?Taking 2/3 from the Rays at Fenway this weekend would put them 4.5 back, with a record of 13-16.
Not a position they should be in, but also not a bad way to end a terrible month. They should have a shot with Price on Saturday and Sale on Sunday.
No, but he seems to have improved on some of his mechanical issues, having struck out 10 through 5 innings and only allowing 2 runs. He’s also had some back luck with the 1-0 loss.has sale won a game yet?
