I am stoked, I just have to share this with you guys. As a transplanted New Englander living in the DC area I will be attending my first game at the not so new stadium. I am also attending the Christmas eve game in Jacksonville but this will be a great weekend.

The point of this thread. I guess it can be a good place for some out of towners to tell their first experience at the Razor.

Any lot better than the others for tailgating atmosphere?

I will be heading to my second game at the Razor this weekend as well. Where you going to be sitting? I will be in 338 or 123. Not sure which as I have tickets with my brother in law.

Have great time!

The atmosphere at Gillette is much different than at old Foxboro Stadium. There are tons of fans milling around on the concourses (especially the lower one) - many of which have SRO seats. If you are seated in the upper deck, prepare yourself for a fairly long hike up the ramps; but at least at Gillette (compared to other stadiums), you can see the field as you walk up!

Make sure to post after you return and tell us your thoughts.

Although I can't offer too much advice regarding tail-gating locations, as I'm one of the dopes who indulges in $9.00 Mickey D value meals at the stadium........have a great time.......and please be LOUD. We'll need it.

I am in section 324 row 25. I sat in similiar seats in Cleveland a two years ago but the seats look further away from the field at Gillette.

Yup. Cleveland Browns stadium goes straight up, whereas Gillette slants away from the field. You will feel further away in the upper deck...it's kinda like the view from the upper deck of FedEx Field, except with better scenery.

I sat in the corner end zone at Cleveland Browns stadium two years ago, much closer to the field than than at Gillette.

I only went to Foxboro twice once when I was 12 against the Browns in 1991 and a pre season game against the Skins in 1994 (I think) I remember it was raining like a SOB. So I am not sure what the difference between tailgating then and now is. Other than the Parking lots are paved. :D

324 row 25 is WAY up there. Bring binoculars.
That being said, any opportunity to visit the Razah is Wicked Pissah!!!

Due to travel, I only have 2 games in November this year, but in wicked pissah seats.

Are the Ushers ticket nazi's if some of the crowd starts clearing out in the second half (as it is a late night game)?

I will. But you are right any chance is great. My buddy's nephew was signed as an UDFA by the Colts and they automatically get 6 tickets designated to them for away games unless they don't want them and he was going to sell them to me for face value but he got cut the day before TC started :( .

Please do all us out-of-towners, some of whom, like myself, have never been to Gillette, a big favor: When the donkeys have the ball, get really loud. And when they have the ball on 3rd down, stand up and get so loud that you inspire others around you to do the same. Show a prime-time, network television audience that the Patriots' home field advantage is all that, and a bag of chips.

If you should tailgate. Don't tell your friends "we'll be at the car with the big PATS flag on top." That's not real useful.

Thanks for the advice.:D

And remember, if you have to take a pizz, be prepared to miss a quarter.

As THE authority on pissing, I can tell you that access to and from the mens' room may be further at Gillette but it's quicker. More mens' rooms and more urinals. Just don't be stupid and try to go at half time.

I held all the seat-mensroom-seat record times at the old stadium.

You really are a wicked pissah.

I predict that thiw week's game will be the loudest ever at Gillette. Some games have meant more, but those have always been in the extreme cold when fans' gloves muffle their clapping.

Sunday night. The damn Broncos. And from what I heard the crows noise was pretty good against Buffalo (that's what people said, tough to tell on TV).

I agree it should be loud.

I've sat in the upper deck ALOT at gillette and almost always moved down to the lower sections with no problem. I hate to say it but alot of Pats fans do leave early and you can always snag better seats.
