The acquisitions have made the Patriots consensus Super Bowl contenders.
"This team will go as far as your feet will take you," tackle Matt Light said. "I don't listen too much, anyway. People talk a lot. I've noticed that over the years. People have a lot of great things to say. We're the ones who have to go out there and prove it.
"Hopefully, everybody can stay healthy, and we'll be able to go out there and kind of do what we did last season, which was rare. We got most of the guys back and, speaking for the offensive line, whenever we stay healthy and all stay together, it makes the season a lot easier. Last season, we were pretty fortunate. We didn't really lose too many guys to injury."
Still-unsigned cornerback Asante Samuel might not be among the Patriots today.
"I'm not worried about who's there and who's not there," Light said. "I'm worried about what I can do to get myself better. That's how everybody looks at it."
