If the RH-hitting 2nd Baseman Chavis is the real deal - and so far so good - then the RH-hitting 2nd Baseman Pedroia has no role here. There's no way he can play SS again, so he's useless as a bench player too. To paraphrase Lou Gorman, what would we do with Dustin Pedroia?
