on the Herd, he was talking about how only one ball was 2 pounds under and the rest were just a smidge under. He apologized for some of his fellow "employees" at ESPN jumping on this the way they did.

Suck on that Brunell.

What? Finally!!

When was this? any link? (I am eager to get hold of 'official' news on the drop in the ball pressure. ) But elated to read this.

Thanks,

Let the Parade Commence!!!!!!!!

How long will the NFL will drag this out?

Sooner or later they can have Ted Wells stand up and say what would have caused a firestorm if Goodell had said it last week: that there's a 100% chance that nobody, at any time, took a single molecule of air out of any footballs, because on average the footballs lost pressure to the same extent that MUST happen due to the temperature drop that the footballs experienced.

It really is every bit as simple as that. Temperature drops caused all football (both sidelines) to drop on average by 1 psi. 12.5 psi room temp FBs went to 11.5, 13.5 psi room temp FBs went to 12.5. The Pats had 11 of the former and 1 of the latter, while the Colts had 12 of the latter.

Coming to grips with reality, last week, would apparently have been extremely unpopular and the NFL doesn't take a dump any more without gauging the popularity of said dumpage.

Thanks!

Gotta see how many more popular commentators have the balls to apologize.

This will be a nice exercise following this sweet SB.

Life is good! :)

It'll be interesting when it all comes out. I still think the colts took cold balls off the truck and they were pressure tested before they warmed up. So they never went down much if at all, because they didn't lose temperature from the initial pressure test.

Begs the question what were teh colts balls originally inflated to? And where? They may have been practicing in a cold dome to replicate INdy or even outside and pumped them to 13 psi or so in 50 degree temps. Which would explain why they didn't lose pressure in NE.
