Fields traded to Steelers

Well Frank, his stats are better than Fields. Please explain why you wanted to give up much needed draft capital for someone who isn't as good as Brissett, who according to you shouldn't be in the league.

Fields has way more upside. However they both likely deserve to be in the cfl.

Because they have a better QB...
Not sure why this isn’t getting through. We are taking a qb next month and they view Brissett as the bridge/mentor. He played under AVP so he knows the offense. They don’t view Fields as the bridge/mentor and they definitely didn’t view him as a franchise qb.

Just want to emphasize that the Steelers gave up a conditional 2025 6th round pick, not a 2024 6th rounder. Mac fetched more in trade value than Fields.

Oh really..I read it as a 6th pick that turns into a 4th if he plays well.

Meaning, baseline is a 6th.

Yet the rest of the league both only thought of them as 6th round value? Fields also is NOT competing for the starting job. He was trade just like Mac to be a back up.

They both suck. That's not surprising to anyone.

What exactly is Jacoby going to mentor the franchise QB in?

How to ride the bench?

Not if he plays well, but if he plays. There’s no expectation of Mac playing which is why he got only a 6th.

Right but if he doesn't play well then what is the trade compensation?

This pretty much tells everyone that they are going QB at 3. So they must really like all 3 quarterbacks, otherwise they would have done something to give them more upside at the position. At this point the most predictable path is going to be QB at 3, OT at 34, and then multiple WR’s.

I know many here hate it, but I love it. It’s the actual beginning of a new era in New England, and I’m looking forward to it. Football had gotten stale in New England, and this an opportunity to go forward with a new team.

We should be stocking out stable of QBs and looks like we are hoping one guy is the guy at 3. Fields Was a low risk investment

We're in real ****ing trouble if we draft a QB who doesn't know how to take a snap under center.

Like, move the franchise to Antarctica kind of trouble.
Drake Maye has never taken a snap from center. Neither has Jayden Daniels.

Are you alluding to college being a shot gun league?

Somehow I'm ok with that.

It’s based on playing time. No one has said more than that yet. A 2025 6th if little playing time, a 2025 4th if he crosses a certain playing time percentage.

I’m laughing my ass off at the Beats fans who just last week were saying that the Patriots were going to give up the 3 for Fields and they were going to draft Williams and Marvin Harrison Jr, and still have the 9 to add more talent.
