It's pretty amazing to me that these were considered the two best teams in football, the 49ers and the Chiefs, and yet there were so many mistakes made in the game that led to its final outcome.

If the 49ers make a few less boneheaded plays they would be Champions tonight. And if the Chiefs had capitalized on the 49ers initial screwup fumble to take the early lead, this would have changed the entire tone of the game.

It does kind of bother me that the game hinged on special teams blunders to almost gift wrap this championship to the Chiefs.

The biggest blunder committed by the 49ers return team. One guy inexcusably lets the ball go off his leg, forcing the other guy to scramble for the ball and fail to come up with it. That was a WTF moment.

And the second special teams disaster, lining up for a simple extra point and failing to block correctly leading to the 49ers failing to take a 4 point lead which would have put a TON more pressure on the Chiefs to go for the TD instead of simply tying it with a FG to take it to overtime.

I do feel like the Chiefs earned their win because they scored the TD to win it in OT. But the 49ers were definitely complicit in their own demise with some inexcusable blunders and brainfarts at crucial moments in the game!

What fans need to do is separate themselves from that. Look at the Steeler fans. They were so threatened by the Pats for coming close to their 6 superbowls and have a blind hatred towards the team and fans. I guess that’s what makes rivalries.

As far as Mahomes, He’s great, no doubt it. Now he’s in Brady’s realm from years ago when it was Brady vs Montana discussion. Instead it will be Mahomes vs Brady. Regardless, He’s got 4 to go, if he does, he does. Fans have no say in the outcome. But I do laugh when they say Mahomes is the goat right now. That I will dispute every time.
he’s got 5 to go. this isn’t a Brady vs Eli situation where the head to head doesn’t even factor in. Brady beat his ass in a SB (also out dueled him in the AFC CG)

he has to get 8 because if its 7-7 Brady has the ultimate trump card

I don't see this ending any time soon. NFL product is not as good anymore. Guys like spags feast on these hybrid/young quarterbacks. There's no truly great quarterbacks to contest their runs.

Put it in perspective:
He does not need the NFL or even another ring at this point ...
cash in on a short media life ... then he could be risen again on The Bachelor when Tay-Tay dumps him to make a song.

Mahomes keeps raising his game ... dude is not at his peak yet.
Bash me for saying it but he is fun to watch ...

Do you honestly think a healthy Eric Fisher was going to swing a 31-9 defeat into a kc victory?
these clowns seem to forget that Brady could have dropped another 2 or 3 scores on KC that game. TB went full conservative/let’s end this game with a quarter and a half to play

He had no OL against TB though. I mean...would any other QB win in that situation?
LOL

so Brady’s losses in the 2007 SB and 2015 AFC CG don’t count either according to the Mahomes boys since his OL **** the bed those games

All we ever hear about is the Chiefs OL

This dude ain't even acknowledging that shanahan gave them that game

Patrick can never be better than Brady because we know objectively how it would go if they played in the big games.

We don't need to speculate like Brady vs Montana.

Brady best Patrick every time it mattered.

These clowns always tell you how many super bowls Brady won because of his defense

But they never tell you how many he lost because his defense gave up game winning drives after he put them ahead.

It doesn't help that mahomes isn't very humble and was out here talking about how he's well on his way to being the best. I can't stand that guy.

it’s true. anytime that game is brought it up it’s “Mahomes only lost because of his OL”

never a mention of Brady losing SB 42 because of the Neal injury and the OL picking that game to become a turnstile

never a mention of Brady losing the 2015 AFC CG because of Stork tipping the snap count

the funny thing is that Brady still lead his team to 2 TDs and almost won those games. Mahomes couldn’t even score 1 ****ing TD

He had 1 TD in the first 74 minutes.

He's 28 and in his prime and the supposed greatest ever. 1 TD?

But it took Kyle shanahan giving the game away on two different super bowls just to win.

These are objectively facts. Kyle shanahan screwed his team because he can't handle the big time.

Today should prove, as was predictable, choose the legend QB. 49ers were a better team but folded because they had Brock Purdy and the Chiefs had GOAT Jr.

It's me. Hi. I'm the problem. It's me.

That's not why they folded at all.

They folded because shanahan is obsessed with the throw game.

He could have forced Kansas City to use their last two timeouts and potentially got the clock down to around a minute to 1 minute and 20 seconds if he had just run the ball at the end of the game.

I understand that mahomes is pretty damn good but given how the niners were playing tonight, I take my chances.

That's ****ing embarrassing and this dude definitely should be fired. He has a long history of choking.

Bro give me a break. You would’ve LOVED for a Shannahan disciple to come here given how anti-Mayo you’ve been. Now you say “Fire Shannahan!”. Jesus make up your mind, what coach would you want?

Mahomes isn’t “pretty damn good”. He is the second greatest player in NFL history and when the time called for it he delivered two huge clutch drives. The Niners lost because they lacked the experience of being Champs. Mahomes has been there done that.
