Official Post Game Thread - Chiefs Beat the Pats

Blocked FG and fluke INT didn’t help either.

What happened to the “near pick” crosses in the NE offense? Seems to have disappeared.

I don't get how anyone who watched the game can say the defense played bad.

They had two mistakes in the game (3rd & 19 and the TD on 2nd & 25) on the same drive. The rest was mostly good execution by the Chiefs and their offense. They held KC to two TDs where one of them was set up by an INT in your own territory.

The D had one of their best games of the year. Too bad the flu ruined the Texans game.

Yup. And I didn’t say that. I was talking about the 49red but that’s not obvious from the post I was responding to.

I saw that after posting. But the point still stands, there are enough people around who are not satisfied with the defense apparently.

Management has to take advantage of the 1-2 years Brady has left. Lots of mistakes made, including no TE. WE and OL issues.
That's if Tom is even here.

And there has nothing wrong with that. It’s a characteristic of most fans.
Who said there was anything wrong with it?

The refs were a friggen travesty. Doesn’t change the fact that the game was meaningless. Do you not see last year? We were never getting the one seed after the ravens beat the bills. We either figure it out or we don’t. Crying like a ***** isn’t going to change that.
There is no game that’s MEANINGLESS until you lock up playoff seed and may choose to rest starters in final game of regular season....but BB usually doesn’t rest starters that much !

Frustrating. That word has summed up this season for me.

Didn’t read this, HUGE thread. That being said, our season and team can be summed up pretty easily. Face bad to average teams, they win. Face good teams, they get dominated. This is just not a championship caliber team.

I get it, they most likely finish with a better record than last year’s team, that turned it around after a bad December. BUT that team was a really good team that under performed. They had Gronk, they had Allen, they had Brown at LT, therefore, they were able to run the ball. This team has none of that.

I’d be shocked if THIS particular team wins one playoff game. They will have to face one of the teams they lost to already (Most likely), and I can’t see the outcome changing. This isn’t a Belichick team that you can say, they won’t lose twice to the same team. They don’t have the horses like the teams in the past that makes that statement true.

A lot of blame falls on Belichick’s lap. Total failures in the 2018 & 2019 drafts (despite TONS of draft capital), especially when those were GREAT TE drafts, and 2019 was a great WR draft as well, and to come out of it with a 7th round TE in 2018 and, let’s face it, 1) Taking the wrong WR in 2019 2) NOT double dipping at WR, is a crime. It is the reason this dynasty will end this year, and will set this team back for several years.

I feel the same way I did after the Pitt loss last season, they can run the table despite having played some really poor football at times. Dante needs to get their blocking fixed between now and the playoffs, but the defense is legit, and they have enough to beat either KC or Baltimore in their second meeting (s).

There really should be a facepalm emoticon.

Regarding Wr, when was the last time we double dipped early and mid rounds? Dobson and Boyce. Really worked out for us didn’t it? And it really set the franchise back several years didn’t it?

The officials made some terrible calls, but, nonetheless, the Patriots lost at Home to a good 8--4 team. They also lost on the Road to a good 5--2 Baltimore team as well as to a mediocre 7--4 Houston team, which then managed to lose at Home yesterday to a truly bad 4--8 Denver team.

They still control their destiny in the Division and for a First Round Bye.

It is foolish to count the Patriots out, as long as TB12 is QB and BB is HC, but, for now, "they are who their record says they are:" a good team that hasn't put it together in big games this season...yet.

Still, I'm not betting much against their being in Miami on the first Sunday of February. They're just going to have to claw their way there.

They should have known he would suffer a high ankle sprain before trading for him. Especially with his history of having missed 2 games in the last 3 years.

Why is he playing? Still don’t think he was worth a second rounder.

I wouldn’t be so sure about winning out. Not with this putrid offense.

Hey Bill, when Thuney becomes a UFA next year move Wynn to his spot and draft a real LT.

I think that must have been the plan all along...right???
