Any words of anti homerism is considered trolling.

The kool aid is delicious today.

Issues that need fixing:

Newhouse - I was told he had the highest PFF grades out of all our linemen despite what my eyes saw. I was mocked for suggesting there were better options out there on practice squads and possibly in our own locker room. I heard we would be fine because Scar could turn straw into gold... how's that working out and how long do you trust Tom's blindside to this turnstile?

Again, BB if you're out there and listening, Yosh Nijman an incredibly talented rookie OT is sitting on the Packers practice squad because their O-Line is extraordinarily deep, go get him. In the meantime don't be afraid to give Jermaine Eluemunor or Korey Cunningham a spot start while you get the kid ready. As an aside, once again PFF shows why their "grading system" is worthless as sh%!.

Tightends - Yeah yeah they caught a couple passes... that's not their only job and I've been preaching that since the final preseason game when I said the run blocking would suffer due to the losses of Gronk and Allen. They got stonewalled on that 4th down pitch because it was a horrible play call but also because Izzo was completely worthless. Lacosse also was getting pushed around before he left for the medical tent yet again, he's hurt... again.

I'm going to say this for the hundredth time for all the people in the back, the Patriots are no longer a power running team and it's because of the TE's... not the O-Line. Our TE's suck, time we faced that fact. Also it's time we called Ben Watson back and apologize for the delay.

Play calling - I see the tip pass, one screen and a smidgeon of innovation from Josh McD and think it's going to be okay. I see the exact same tip pass to the same exact RB going in the same exact direction later and think "that's dumb," I see the 4th down calls and think boy "that's dumb" to try and pitch it wide with 4 yards to go when you have Tom Brady back there. Our offensive coordinator is entirely average, he doesn't earn his money, he sends Tom out there and says "go beat them." No screens on a wet field, no reverses, no scheming to get people open, no counter runs, no draw plays in wide sets, no bleeding a fullback out in the flat after a block in play action... nothing. Just what Mike Lomabardi and other football executives refer to as "beat em" plays. Boring, predictable, easy to defend.

It won't be until this team loses when fans and the media shame him into creating something exotic, the same thing happened last year and he came out against the Vikings tough D and called one of his best games... why does he need to be shamed for not "spreading it around" for him to come up with some razzle dazzle plays? Just lame uninventive offense... and now I'll have to listen to the plebeians talk about how our WR's suck and "can't get separation" as if that happens solely because a WR is amazing.

On the plus side Meyers and Gunner looked great, Tom has no problem throwing to them when injury robs him of all his binkies and he's forced to. Don't tell me we're weak at WR, we are and always have been fine with the level of talent there.

Was that the drive where we got the first down, the refs called it short, and Bill decided not to challenge it? I thought we would have won the challenge...
Yea 1st one. I wish BB challenged that as well. I bet there is some kind of 1/2 ass analysis which tells Ernie there is a 1.9% success rate a spot call is reversed.

Thank you Mam
I realize the "m" and "n" keys can easily get transposed while typing but please try to be more careful. You are welcome, always glad to help with your ongoing remediation.

That and I figured it was early in the game and they didn't want to waste any challenges

PFF (via Kyed) had Newhouse down for two pressures allowed last night. How many are you crediting him with?

Lacosse is injured again time to call ben watson and sign him back

Cmon theres no way Bill has me believe those guys are better than Watson at this point.

He's been terrible since the day he arrived.

FWIW...not much detail though.

I know that it didn't matter in the scheme of things, but the league not over-turning the CLEAR DPI by Jones on Tate at the end of the game was bad. I mean, blind people saw that and knew it was DPI.

Charles Robinson agrees with you: https://sports.yahoo.com/biggest-bl...pass-interference-rule-065812051.html?src=rss

I also couldn't believe that they didn't call that penalty on review. If that can't be called on review, coaches should just keep their flags in their pockets from here on out unless they need a timeout.

How terrible? 10 pressured allowed last night? 5? There’s a huge disconnect here between what you’re claiming and a two pressure night.

I think we're playing to our opponents and I mean why not besides the Bills game we just so happen to win by double digits or more running those predictable plays when we play a threat or playoff game we are magically a different team (See 2018)

dey need to target Meyers more

Against the Bills they rolled Brady to his right on nearly every pass play because he was a turnstile.

Perspective:

Take away the 35 points from the D and STs

PPG: 11th (25.8)
Yards PG: 9th
YPP: 19th
Passing YPP: 9th
Rushing YPC: 27th
3rd Down O: 14th
RZ O: 16th

Not awful. They certainly aren't ascetically pleasing but the key question is if the D has an off night can the O put up points vs a good D?

At this point the answer has to be a maybe but unlikely.

For perspective the Broncos had the 25th offense in 2015 and still got there and that included their defensive scores.

Is it the usual top 5 offense that we have had essentially every year for more then a decade ? Not yet. But that doesn't mean it is "garbage" relative to the rest of the league.

“The situation is dire”.

Thursday night football after a road game and Brady didn’t have Dorset, Gordon, Wynn, Burkhead or Harry who will all be there in 3 weeks.....

And they still won 35-14 to go 6-0.

SMH.......

.

Outscoring teams 190-48 in the first 6 games counts as dire for some people in this fanbase.

Michel runs tentatively, waiting for things to happen rather than exploding decisively. Could be subconsciously protecting his knees, could just be a college hangover where he could regularly find daylight on every play. He looks good when he gets a clean hole or the ball in space though; he might turn out to be more James White than Curtis Martin.

I don't get why you would think that he is protecting anything. He always looks tentative and has the chill to let blocks develop. This was what made him so great last year. He was doing exactly what he was supposed to do with what the linemen gave him.

This year the blocking overall is struggling which automatically screws him.

If the expectation is that we will never get our power running game going then we might as well pack it in because it will be next to impossible to win a title without. If the expectation is that at some point it will finally click then it is just a matter of time until Michel is similarly productive as last year.
