Yeah, that and the Montez Sweat draft situation were both...strange to say the least.Did anyone notice on the NFL Network the war room of the Giants just after they have made the 1st pick, right before it has been announced? The broadcast have moved live over there for a moment and it was just like a fight or serious heated discussion just happened with Gettleman on one side of the room and his staff calming down somebody on the other. Surely there was no fun and celebration after Daniel Jones pick. I have never seen anything like this before, and it seems nobody caught this up in the days when little smirk, while watching the phone, is a national story.
I'll try to sell you. First, he had back to back 1000+ yard seasons. That bodes well for his success. Second, he did it at 19 and 20. He's one of the youngest receivers in the draft. He wasn't a 23 year old redshirt senior bullying 18 year olds; he's just better than the players his own age. He's a big, physical, talented player who can catch and pick up YAC from the slot or from outside. Based on all the metrics I looked at, he kept standing out. Then you add in his tenacity at shrugging off coverage, running through defenses, and willingness to block, and I thought he was basically a super sized version of Edelman.
Absolutely love it.
I don't want Irv Smith.SEA traded #21 for:
37 (2nd round)
114 (4th round)
118 (4th round)
132 (4th round)
142 (5th round)
How about we trade:
#56 #64 for #37 (Irv Smith) 118 (4th round) 124 (4th round)
I do not think Irv will last untill pick 56 and i am afraid the other options (Sternberg don't last either)
Or with Rams:
#56 #73 for #45 (Irv Smith) + #94
I don't hate the pick but I'd have preferred Harry as more of an option at in the mid second
Not picking on you specifically, but this is the kind of stuff that drives me crazy in the draft. “I like this guy, but ideally we pick him 7 spots later.” Come on.
It also makes me think that Josh Gordon is much LESS of a sure thing this season than I thought
Huh? Belichick takes guys but says he wishes he could have taken them later?Tomorrow I would be happy to get
Dre'mont Jones
Mecole Hardman
Well you obviously don't like Bill Belichick as he does this type of thing all the time.
Gee why wouldn't they pick Jones over Haskins??Did anyone notice on the NFL Network the war room of the Giants just after they have made the 1st pick, right before it has been announced?
