McDaniels staying is a big deal. Brady gets his OC whom he has great chemistry with, and most importantly we may be able to keep Amendola

You thought he would retire ? Because where else would he be if not here on yet another one year contract ?

It’s the greatest thing to ever happen in the history of the human race. I’m literally dancing and don’t know how

There might be something to this.

Josh is the frosting between two vanilla Oreos

You do get the feeling that Josh is one element that makes the Brady/Belichick relationship work smoothly. Tom's all emotion and Bill's all cold logic, and Josh always seems to be the smooth go-between of the two.

What are you talking about? He was still hiring guys this morning some of whom signed the contracts on the word he was coming.

I’m not aware of any of that. I started wondering if he was going to actually take the job when he took a second interview Super Bowl week. He reportedly was checking to see if he really wanted to work for Irsay. After that I kept looking for a confirmation that he had signed and never saw it,

Who did he sign?

I hear you. In fifty years I’ll be tells my whipper snappers I was happy when this happened and was happy ever since

I think so too. No question.

...I didn't know that... :p

He's certainly smart, but odds are he's not going to be successful in Detroit. "NFL head-coaching candidates with ties to New England Patriots coach Bill Belichick have already filled multiple openings during the 2018 hiring cycle. The other Belichick associates -- some with strong ties to Belichick, others with weaker ones -- have combined for a 156-227 (.407) record as head coaches under varying circumstances, with only one posting a winning record so far. This poor mark has become a leading case against hiring Belichick assistants, but the associations could be overblown."

He didn't fight in part because he believed (wrongly) that it might make Fraudell go easier on Brady.
That’s a theory. What he says was the good of the other 31 teams outweighs the good of his own, and therefore brady.

Josh looks ****ing awful, he's pretty much screwed his future outside of New England who is going to hire this guy after he left like 5 coaches and a franchise waiting for him only to change his mind.

He better pray the Pats give him the HC job or he'll regret this for a long long time, puts his questionable character from Denver back into play.

Teams hire dog killers and murderers. They’ll take a head coach who once crapped on a rival

Our coaching staff might actually IMPROVE over the off-season.
