Great classy post but I don't agree that the Pats didn't win. Any other team would have packed it in down 25. The Pats did what most teams wouldn't to reclaim what they believed was rightfully theirs.
Definitely. Atlanta thought they broke your spirit, and so did I. As soon as I saw the defense playing a soft zone and the offense playing much less aggressive, then I knew it was about to get interesting. It's the same exact thing that happened in the SD game earlier this year. It was like Deja Vu. I'll never understand that kind of philosophy. We were destroying your offense. Brady looked lost, Edelman was hearing footsteps, and our DBs were glued to your receivers. Then, they back off and let TB get into a groove. It was like we were watching a made-for-TV Lifetime feel good story. I watched UGA do it twice now, and now the Falcons. I'm not trying to knock your team, but they weren't the better team. They certainly capitalized our Atlanta's errors, though. Great hustle. Great win, for sure. You guys earned it.

Thanks. I said the Falcons D would bring their A game and they sure did, just ran out of gas.

Much respect. Great game, great team.

Yeah, I think you guys had the ball around 40mins that's insane. They were definitely gassed at the end of the 4th and OT. I can't believe we were in FG range and decided to throw it after that ridiculous catch by Julio. That was when I knew the game was over. If we kick the FG there, you lose. What a crappy way to lose a game. Atlanta always seems to be involved on the wrong side of records. Hopefully they bounce back, and don't let this ruin next year. I've seen the SB hangover hit far too many teams.

Blame your owner. He came onto the field way too early. It was embarrassing.

I won't engage too much because I'm too happy but this statement is nonsense. The team that coached and played the best for THE ENTIRE GAME won.

If the Falcons don't believe this then there's no room for improvement, and they'll just be another Carolina Panthers. This time tomorrow Belichick and Brady will be looking at film and figuring out how to to get their sixth. That's the difference.

You were the better second half team, but Atlanta destroyed your team in the first half. You, me, and Atlanta all thought this game was over until Freeman whiffed on the sack fumble. That gave you guys a chance, and you ran with it. If they run the ball up the middle on third down and kick the field goal, then we aren't having this conversation. You guys fought back and persevered, but you can't say you didn't see the moment when the Falcons eased up. It has happened all year. You deserve the win for never giving up. It cost us against SD, and now in the biggest game of the year against the GOAT. I hope we get a chance to redeem ourselves next year.

Not really. The Pats kept playing after the Falcons mailed it in thinking it was over. They never gave up, and it cost the Falcons dearly. There were a lot of ticky tack calls against ATL that weren't called equally for both teams. They didn't change the outcome as much as ATL shutting down shop in the middle of the third, but if they call that blatant chock block in OT, then ATL likely gets a shot at offense to tie or win. That one play didn't allow 31 unanswered points in the second half, though. It was a heck of an effort bye a great team that could have quit. You guys did great. You should have lost, but you didn't. That's the difference between being good and being great.

just keep making excuses. Your team just had the BIGGEST CHOKE JOB in the history of professional football.....

You don't know anything about me or what I was thinking. When you have a team that wins as much as this one you know that the game isn't over at halftime. No team in the league makes better halftime adjustments.

I won't sit here and say I thought the Pats would win but I knew they would not roll over, and it was going to take a championship caliber team to seal the deal. Atlanta wasn't that. They finally ran into a team that punched back and they showed their true colors.

The better team? The Rams still believe the same thing 16 years later, and it's pretty pathetic.

Where'd this Jet fan come from? RayRay19, is that YOU?

This is the saltiest and least genuine "congratulations" ever.

Well, maybe that's a bit of an exaggeration, but still. If you're gonna come in here and half-ass it with excuses and slights against the winning team, then you might as well have not even bothered.
